America was actually attacked once, by total surprise which is not what actually happened at Pearl Harbor. The day that should be remembered in infamy is September 29, 1982, when a bunch of Americans seemed to be suddenly getting heart attacks. But the response to (what I plan to show) was actually surprise attack by a foreign power was to hide it. Neither American officials nor ordinary Americans discuss responding to those not on any official enemies list.

However, there wasn't anything for the government to warn about or hide until October 7, 1982 when the police began to investigate the 6-month earlier (April 1) Tylenol death of a Filipino University of Pennsylvania student. This business student was friends with Dictator Ferdinand Marcos' daughter who was also a Wharton Student. The police, but not his friend, claimed he was suicidal and the police claimed they had a suicide letter which his wife or friends never saw. Before that there was nothing for the government either warn about or cover up.

Secrets have become overwhelming ever since World War II when Britain and the US knew the German and Japanese secret codes. When Hitler tired of bombing London and hit the provinces instead people were at first sitting ducks with no warning to seek shelter or leave the town centers. Japan clearly warned they were going to start seizing more territory unless the oil embargo was immediately lifted. Guam was the most convenient island near by. But Japan chose Hawaii to launch the new invasions to get the aircraft carriers which weren't there so they went home instead. During the preliminary attack had they been met with a spirited defense they might have had no knowledge that the aircraft carriers were missing. Some bombing Japanese pilot would have had to calmly radioed base that he couldn't find any aircraft carriers, not a likely scenario if most of the other attacking Japanese planes had been already shot down, and how likely would there be a report of missing carriers by a second Japanese pilot just trying not to be shot down. And the GIs would have been in a very brutal prisoner of war camp. Pearl Harbor was basically a propaganda bonanza for the US.

Recently world secrecy got peeled back, due to WilKileaks, I expected Arab masses would be furious at their monarchs and in a fighting mood for suggesting the US take out Iranian nuclear experimental facilities. Instead the retiring head of Israel's Mossad now thinks Iran is less of a threat. Shiite Iran wants Sunni Muslims to like them, making rash comments about Israel not because it wants to get rid of Israel all by itself but because insulting Israel is the best way they know to win the hearts of the ordinary Sunni.

"The Truth Shall Set You Free" now means (to me) something more than religious belief.

This would be a perfect time to spread WilkiLeaks successes to old material and the Fed and State governments could join in the effort.

Ominously Tylenol had been temporarily banned not only by the US and Canada but the Philippines as well.

Starting April 3 and 4, the Daily Pennsylvania, the university student paper had articles, (now available on microfilm). William Pascual's wife Kathleen was devastated that the police accused her dead husband of being suicidal. Other Filipinos who came to the University of Pennsylvania for the opportunity of running errands for Irene Marcos also defended William's character.

Had I tried to state before April 6, 2010 that Reagan overthrew Dictator Marcos I would have been talking to deaf ears. All correspondents and writers had claimed Reagan and Marcos were good friends and Reagan never let a friend down. Robert Parry detailing extensive illegal campaign contributions by Marcos to get Reagan elected.

But just last April Reagan's Assistant Secretary of Defense Bing West wrote an editorial in the NY Times, "How to Save Afghanistan from Karzai" asking that Karzai be treated the way Marcos was. Detailing what was done to help the opposition,

I wasted money on a $100 Historic achieves copy of the NY Times, but now since the Daily Pennsylvania achieves is now on microfilm, which is much more revealing.
PS the Wikipedia entry on Irene Marcos now Irene Marcos-Araneta all but disappeared 53 words then switching to her parents biography very un-Wikipedia like. Of course Wilkileaks could change after I posted this article.

A Philadelphia grand jury wouldn't have much to prosecute about, but the state and the Fed and both progressives and conservatives could all work together when it comes to old history which could lead to a different attitude about more recent secrets.
(PS elsewhere I suggested ways for the Philly and State governments to get together to move the casino soaking the poor to the airport. And survivalism training by the fed and the state in case of currency collapse such as the encouraging of mass urban planting of potatoes which would be difficult for thieves to find if hidden from them. And not subject to any quick robbery of anyone’s private garden. This article is one more attempt by me to push change and get people working together at the same time.)

The public stance that there is no such thing as an attack by a friendly power is hastening the decline and fall of America. Think about how insane it will eventfully seem that an attack on America is keep secret for National Security reasons.
