Excerpt: "At a time of massive income and wealth inequality and a shrinking middle class, we need a government which represents all Americans, not just Wall Street, multi-national corporations and the top 1 percent. At a time of massive income and wealth inequality and a shrinking middle class, we need a government which represents all Americans, not just Wall Street, multi-national corporations and the top 1 percent, regardless of where they live or their political affiliations, most people understand that it is absurd for Republicans in Congress to support huge tax breaks for billionaires while pushing for cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

For all you closeted Marxists (and open Marxists:

Why Bernie's 'Democratic Socialism' is just another name for (you guessed it) Socialism; that never seems to work as promised.

Scandinavia (a possible exception)is dependent on oil income. Venezuela was too but look at how that country is imploding.

How's Capitalism working out for ya babaregi? The success of a 'system' does not come from the system itself, but from the people within it and those who are chosen to represent it. Capitalism fails because over time, because those with wealth and power are always able to remove all checks-and-bala nces in order to corrupt the system. Socialism by its very nature ensures a more level playing field, tamping down on the chances for corruption. Human beings left on their own are not capable of doing 'what is right'. There MUST be good leadership for a system to work.

What troubles me babaregi, is that you waste no time in posting smack-downs about your perceived notion about a political system even when such smack-downs aren't particularly called for.

I have very strongly held views about Capitalism, but I don't stop what I'm doing to constantly berate the system in every article I read.

Capitalism? What Capitalism?

You call what we have Capitalism and want to replace it with Socialism which has a worse track record.
