We are going to return to our original fully-moderated format in the comments section.

The abusive complaints in the comment sections are just too far out of control at this point and have become a significant burden on our staff. As a result, our moderators will review all comments prior to publication. Comments will no longer go live immediately. Please be patient and check back.

To improve your chances of seeing your comment published, avoid confrontational or antagonistic methods of communication. Really that is the problem we are confronting.

We encourage all views. We discourage ad hominem disparagement.

This brilliant video may be focusing on solutions, but it will miss the mark if Big Energy and their political backers (mostly GOP) continue to block any agreement that we have a problem

There is a lot of expensive smoke being blown at the atmospheric carbon issue funded partly through the tax breaks we continue to give to big power generators.

No good is ever done in this world by hesitation. Thomas Huxley

Very interesting... open source, free and open interconnectedn ess with open communication etc etc etc. In my opinion, this is the world that is absolutely necessary if we truly want to be free of totalitarian and authoritarian corporate governance. The Anthropocene, the remaking of the world. It won't work without being open source and free of proprietary influences.

Right now, the greatest threat to all life is not global warming, acid oceans, nuclear war, loss of species, or terrorism. It is Yukushima reactor #4 and #3 in order of intensity. As revealed in RSN, further damage to the containment building of #4 (from an earthquake) will cause its collapse and the release of unprecedented and enormous quantities of radiation that will kill billions of humans and other species. Read the article on RSN!
