More jobs. You often hear this being said especially when unemployment runs rampant. Americans right now are suffering from unemployment, many are needing to be able to find employment to secure a life for themselves and their families. However in this search for employment Americans have to be careful what they ask for. More jobs to the private sector means more wage exploitation. Positions which demand long working in hours for little pay. Some of these corporations would even welcome shifting child labor laws so that they can exploit children for sub minimum wage pay. (ala New Gingrich). When Americans ask for more jobs there has to be a more focused outcry, ask for higher paying opportunities, ask for jobs which will allow for unionization and collective bargaining. We don’t need more jobs we need better jobs.

The great debate rages about the lack of employment Nation wide. But with the dearth of employment this becomes a dangerous time. Corporate America will soon begin to hand out available positions. They will offer desperate families a chance to jump on board and rejoin the workforce. However before making the leap of faith the individual should carefully assess the position at hand.

The prospective employee should see if the pay is going to be comparable to the tasks and duties. Will it be beneficial for the employee to take upon a task that will take up eight hours or more of their day to enrich individuals who barely work or put any effort into it who will be reaping the ultimate reward. Individuals when looking at prospective employment should look to see will any stability be involved in this particular jo0b or will the “board” call for more heads to roll so that they can simply continue to line their pockets at everyone’s expense. The other important thing aspect will be the ability to engage in a form of collective bargaining. In the private sector this type of notion is nearly verboten. More often than not employees are induced into situations where there is minimal protection for the employee involved.

The ultimate aim of corporations is to create a society based on wage slavery. They want regulations gutted so that child labor can reintroduced. They want to gut regulations so that corners can be cut in employee safety and protection which mean they can have more money left over to purchase a second luxury car. They want to create job opportunities which pay no set minimum wage so that like what is done to immigrants or to others in Third World Nations can become practice in America. The Chamber of Commerce is pining for a second Gilded Age and by capitalizing on the desperation of the American people they can ultimately succeed in this endeavor.

The need for jobs in this Nation is very important. The need to reduce unemployment is something that is vital towards improving the whole economy of the Nation. However because there is a desperation to and a need gain employment the American people will rush to get the first job available. However there is a necessity for the American people to be wise, to demand not just a glut of jobs but good jobs that pay well and provide a secure economic future.
