Inclusiveness should be one of the goals of a civilized culture. Tribalism is the enemy of inclusiveness and it takes many forms: Political parties, Nation States, Religions, Sports, States, Corporations, economic elites, and other in-groups.

Freedom is also a goal, but each tribal entity limits freedom in various ways.

Nations exclude people from outside its borders, imprison when deemed necessary, execute people on occasion, raise armies, regulate many things, tax to pay for its activities, surveil everyone, go to war, or even attempt to build an empire. The good ones actually provide services for the people.

Religion, when monotheistic, is authoritarian. The major religions date back millenia and oppose recent determinations of science which are evidence based. Usually one belief that major religions share is hatred of other religions. The 'holy land' is most war-torn. Constraint of people's activities is most severe in Muslim countries where Sharia law is enforced. Better religions offer advice that enhances life for the living.

Economic elites including corporations and the very wealthy can capture other institutions, which can be observed here in the U.S. Their goal is to avoid any burden on themselves in the form of taxes and regulation. They are free to move anywhere they like. In general, money can move freely, while people cannot. They aspire to impose their values on everyone by buying off every other institution and they have been successful.

Taken together, humanity's path is toward suicide. Failure to respond to certain climate disaster, renewed generations of nuclear weapons, continuation of the expansion of empire, and likely failure of the economy as major corporations migrate elsewhere, signal collapse.

The Republican Party represents the worst in all these activities:
