An Apology to the World

Many Americans reject the idea that we have anything for which we should apologize—ever. I, however, find a specific area of our society which I surmise will embarrass and possibly humiliate these same staunch nationalists in the next thirty to fifty years. This area to which is referred is American business—big, high-volume business. The individual human citizen has been needing to reign “them” in for at least a century now if not right as the ink was drying on the Constitution of the United Fledgling States. Competing philosophies penned two different documents—the Declaration of Independence (liberating), and the Constitution of the United States (confining). We here in the U.S. have lived within the tension of these two documents which outline worldviews that threaten to destroy the U.S. in our current moment. The liberating philosophy suggests that we are a human family, yet each individual must go meet society on personal terms to make life as desired by said individual. The confining philosophy narrows societal and political influence to direct the country via legal funnels, initially land ownership, race, and head-of-household status. The fame of the liberating philosophy became so great that immigration ballooned population size, a situation that has been curbed only recently due to the 2008 financial meltdown and the consequential attempts to save the ship. Over the years, the confining funnels have been carved out to accommodate greater volume due to human ingenuity, individual and social growth. The current moment displays a resurgence of the confining political ideology being presented as the antidote to the financial meltdown that the confining business ideology instigated. We must therefore ask, “What is underneath the rhetoric? What is the motivation for the worldview philosophy?”

In review of prevailing attitudes, the following surfaces: nihilism, creationism, art-as-science, and fence-sitters. The two former (like petty gods) are polarizing every debate. The latter two (like livestock) are despised, seduced, and neutered, or despised, seduced, and controlled respectively. However, to confused matters further, the former set often attend masquerade parties (ALEC); the refining of a social persona can take years to perfect. Art-as-science folks are the ones who see beauty in the world and seek to expand human potential through evolutionary processes connecting us to the greater universe in harmony, enthusiasm, and the adventure of mystery. Fence-sitters are sometimes hedonists, sometimes humble hard-working folk, sometimes cowards, sometimes confused, and sometimes awaiting further information. To further blur this picture, a single human being can be a patchwork quilt of all of these; a mere shift in topic brings a different pattern of the kaleidoscope into focus. (Just turn the knob.) This flowing blur of pattern and color can be utilized for effect by the confining worldview which has no use for such diversity anyway. (Just add an additional affect when resistance is evident and the liberating philosophy will jumble up allowing for the funnel operators to locate specific collections of ideology requiring a larger funnel and remove them.) Exclusivity is what confinement craves, but the universe displays both liberation and confinement, expansion and contraction, yet diversity is the mainstay. The United States is currently in an intense struggle to realize once again both the individual and the community are of equal importance, yet emphasis must shift with prevailing conditions of the overarching moment, like climate change and the pollution that compromises ecological balance. This last part is of great contention thanks to the hard work of our over-burgeoning business so often centered around numbers to express profit margins.

Numbers are also a part of the mystery in the universe as evidenced by the Golden Mean. The Golden Mean is the revelation of beauty expressed in mathematics found throughout the natural world and pervasive in the universe itself. This is art-as-science innate in existence from flower petals to insect wings to entire galaxies. This is the elegant mystery implying the divinity of all things which the nihilist abhors and the creationist applauds and boos by turns. However, a famous musician of Christian background recently espoused his belief that the human mission on the planet is to make Heaven on Earth. This sentiment, though different in semantics, still points to the same art-as-science philosophy. It insinuates beauty, wonder, mystery, and embodied divinity, a very touchy subject in certain parts of the society worldwide. In fact, the generalities of “nihilist”, “creationist”, “art-as-science”, and “fence-sitters” can all be distilled down further to a more primary question: Can humanity express divinity? Some say no, that it's arrogant for a human full of sin and vice to raise himself up to such self-aggrandizing heights; it leads to megalomania. We see plenty of that from the rich-and-famous regardless of profession, yet none openly claim to be omnipotent or omnipresent. A dyed-in-the-wool megalomaniac would want to be in as much limelight as possible, doing almost anything to keep his persona in circulation. Scientific research done in the 80's and 90's reveals that those people whose brain development and function is the most balanced and optimal avoid the spotlight; they have no need for it. (Read The Biology of Transcendence by Joseph Chilton Pearce.) Again, this brings the art-as-science philosophy into focus, giving it a gravitas difficult to neutralize. These balanced, optimally-brained people had calm, happy mothers during and after pregnancy. That is an impossibility without a parental unit, two mature people, working in tandem. The mother must be made safe and be nurtured during the entire process of pregnancy and throughout child-rearing. One parent partner must be an external facet of the family even as the other is the internal facet, both in orchestration to raise the child(ren) to maturity. However, most of us these days come from broken families somewhere along the line. A parent(s) dies. Addictions happen. Molestations happen. Economic depressions happen. There are nightmare babysitters and teachers. There are bullies of various shapes, sizes, and strategies. We all have sufferings to process and transform, but purification of these mental/emotional burdens can be achieved. Once one goes through the crucible one has more of a legitimate possibility of harmonizing with the elegant mystery called so many different things and revered by most. By harmonizing with it, we allow it to flow through us which leads not to monopoly, but to inclusivity—the entire universe and all life within it divine, singularly spectacular and collectively connected. Hierarchy evaporates, but clarity and brilliance vary as each stands on one's own merit, yet a nihilist would consider this to be blather even in spite of the Golden Mean for he finds everything meaningless, therefore, all pleasure must be had now.

In effort to confine power and influence to a monopoly, persecution has been utilized time and again in the philosophic war. The boots-on-the-ground reality of persecution is that one can do no right. Even if one excels, success brings further restriction and confinement and is therefore emotionally expensive following a short-lived celebration. Persecution is one aspect of the psychology of slavery—the oppression of the fulcrum. If we were to say that society at large was a house, we could also say that those with influence and power act as the entry doors, yet the doors are useless and non-operational without a fulcrum, a pin to hold the door to the frame structure, allowing it motion. The door in this analogy is so aware of its reliance upon the pin, so concerned that the pin is going to become difficult and self-important (because that's what the door would do if it were the pin) that the door forcefully imposes its' preeminence, belittling the pin to avoid any question to the door's authority to admit or reject. As ridiculous as the analogy sounds, it's also very accurate. Out-of-sight, out-of-mind pin holds things together and is considered unclean because it may need grease for the frictional job it is doing. Separate the door from the human comparison and the whole dynamic is neutralized to a situation without malice, but the human component can be full of malice due to the individual hang-ups we avoid processing. In truth, even the human interaction should be without malice, but far too often our own sense of self-worth is merely propped up by our hierarchical prejudices of those with less status. As long as there is someone lower on the ladder, we can maintain, leaving unprocessed these far reaching questions about singularity/community and persecution/slavery. Without the process of transforming experience into greater understanding, nihilism gains greater force. Nihilism is non-spiritual existence, devoid of greater meaning. If one were to have a long backlog of unprocessed experiences while the community has an intense group experience, nihilism is at its' greatest seduction as an easy out for those lacking fortitude to progress at a difficult time with a heavy burden besides; sloth and nihilism are colleagues. Propping-up is not just for nihilists though. Creationists are also hierarchical.

Creationism seems to be the original Ponzi scheme. Whether the capstone is loving or vengeful, the peak is always exclusive and the foot remains the dirty foot. The pyramids can be symbolic representation of either this Ponzi arrangement or the path of purification for any human being; perception is a key element in psychology, marketing, politics, and religion. If one chooses to view pyramids as a purification path, once one reaches the pinnacle where does one go from there? Metaphorically, the peak allows the view of the entire landscape, 360 degrees, the sight of which can be a revelation, changing the way one perceives and experiences that same location. If the landscape is one's own lifetime, the change can have vast ramifications. Such a climb is a strenuous undertaking, not for the weak-willed. If not a path, then it becomes rationalization for caste systems easily enough.

Creationists adore their Creator, yet jealous of the vehicle through which He brings mankind into being. The female of the species is property of the male by international law; veils are optional. The veil may be an indication of the woman's particular frame of mind, her awareness of the sacred. For some cultures, a veil displays holiness openly. The “public woman” however has no reprieve given to her; she is too necessary for men away from their wives for long periods of time. If a public woman is not available, another man can grant “mercy”, but this is not a homosexual act per se. A woman of these cultures is either revered or reviled with no gray in between. Stories of women burning in house fires because there was no male to escort them out of the blaze are legendary in the West as the circumstances are so perplexing; the one who leaves the house unescorted is stoned to death. Let me state clearly that I have no desire to attack or belittle any religious path as everyone discovers meaning wherever they recognize it. I intend only to talk about philosophy; this is not about religion in specific, but worldview which influences decision and action. All moments in life revolve around this central theme of philosophy, or worldview. Too often creationists fight amongst themselves over whose version of the capstone is best, which name is best for the capstone, which side of the pyramid is best instead of looking passed semantics and preferences to the common unity of the pyramid itself. Instead of being reassured they feel threatened, yet this type of destructive competition attends more than just creationist ideology.

We are allowed generalized sculpted visions of the perfect ideal by the polarizing competition, yet none are able to agree on the ideal in specific. We are frustrated, agitated by the disparate arguments, unable to satisfy either side with our own conclusions thus leaving us with a sense of being inept to the challenges of such deliberations. However, these are the very questions that flesh out the quality of a life, developing a sense of purpose or a vacuum of discontent. This sense of purpose to the whole of existence is the harmony sought and expressed in art-as-science. The artistry of the universe is all around us and science shows us its' perfection in the intimate connection of all things, yet science has not created the universe—the universe has created it.

Fence-sitters are the undecided or uninformed vote so coveted by the polarizing views. They are tugged and pulled in so many different directions by so many different influences that it seems that the only safe place is the fence. Market analysis is the psychology of the ad pull.

The word “business” has many connotations now. In the best sense, it is service-oriented providing products and services to the wider public as enhancement, entertainment, or both. In the worst sense, it is a con job, a predatory entanglement which entraps individuals in a personal deprivation via intentional deception. For example, “small business” can now have high-volume with a small employee base. This is a far cry from the mom-and-pop category of “small business” the history of which built America. The World Trade Organization has made it internationally legal to trump the individual sovereignty via national legislation to secure a business deal. The only exception that I am currently aware of is Bolivia, the people of whom revolted when the Bechtel Corporation mandated that collection of rainwater carry a fine.

Our large corporate collectives have outlived their charters. There is a nihilistic view at play that demands the population tow the corporate line even at the expense of market competition. This is not personal opinion. It is a business model. It is a worldview in charge of enormous global resources. They are, by and large, deranged and have a death wish for and toward most of us.

Life experiences are made meaningless without introspection. The public has been robbed of contemplation, the same kind of time which provided Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Nelson Mandela the opportunity to reach heights before unknown. Science that would liberate us is being corralled and muffled. Making life meaningless is a path leading to the predatory con job in which we collectively, globally, find ourselves. The push toward meaninglessness is derived from the fact the international law as it is currently applied is obsolete. Prior law is bent on growing the population which has currently reached peak capacity. Since both religion and law are static, thus stagnant, the population is now involved in its' own culling with each mouthful of big ag supply. Genetically modified corn results in male sterilization. I assume as much about GMO soy with women and children. Science has just confirmed that diets of one generation have long lasting effects for the next several generations to follow. Non-GMO farming practices became rare, then vogue and are now ludicrously expensive. We are pushed into a corner because the worldview of these corporate captains is incapable of making sense of how to function with everyone who is already alive. We literally choose to live or die by what we purchase, however unwittingly.

To hear business describe it's operation, it is repeated that the “market should regulate itself”. The market is based off one thing, emotions, and really only two of them apply—greed and fear. However, if we consider those two, it really boils down to only one, greed. For me, greed is an addiction to fear. If everything is to be feared, then a level of aggressive predation develops which is irrational and immoral. When psychology began to unveil the caprice and regularity of human whim, the focus often went toward behavioral aberration. It is only recently that studies have been done on positive human attributes and their effect. It was only in the 80's and 90's that studies found that the heart regulates the entire body, brain included. Media (a business) ignores an enormous human interest study! What additional funding is to be had for the same and similar studies? What is the government (a business, apparently) conducting in their/our research? When will we ever hear of that in the media? This is where the death wish of nihilism lies. If character, not brains, develops quality, then what are all these puffed up egos on Wall Street going to do? They've spent a large part of their lives acquiring things only to find out that it's the emotions of the heart which regulate the brain, not the other way around. They're entire premise about life is incorrect from jump. They are the captains in charge of all these resources. How can they possibly manage to switch their modis operandi now when everything was set on course in the 70's? With all that processing to do plus the critical moment of the age, the seduction of nihilism narrows the focus down to death. It's simple for them. There are just too many people on the planet. Besides, if we screw it all up, we can just jump a transport and find another planet. It's become a business, like Eugenics. (The Nazis, who were all about race superiority, never did really cease to exist; their scientists were absorbed into our military, yet this is not an indictment of ANY particular soldier.) As dire as this sounds, we still have a possibility for the reclamation of joy, to thrive together in life. It just sounds too easy, but it is far more difficult to apply. Forgiveness. Let's talk direct business language to start—debt forgiveness.

The Federal Reserve is a business, not a government department. The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank are further expressions of the Federal Reserve worldview. The United States government must reassert itself as a discreet, independent body. ALEC is NOT a charity in any way shape or form. Legislators must recuse themselves from their incubus and succubus of lobbyists. The United States government is not a business, but a household.

Business dignitaries of the Federal Reserve, IMF, and World Bank are unable to see how all of the human population can go on the way we are, even as they refuse to change their business model. The human community has been walked out into the desert away from the Commons in a predatory act. Money and debt are the vehicles of our impoverishment. What is a real mind blower is that there is no backing of value behind the pieces of paper we call money. We are running on reputation and charm, provided certain early markers are in place. (Exclusivity is preferred in the confining worldview. Eugenics doesn't mind that either.)

I, for one, would therefore like to apologize to the world high and low for being one of the few attempting to stop this and failing, so far. To really do the turn around that is needed we will have to be far more expansive about forgiveness—the human family in ALL it's diversity. We need to really look at how we are being killed by using debt and terminator seeds. We need to reclaim each other as a global family. I speak of America because I am here. We are all family by body and by breath. To be non-violent is not being lead to slaughter. Deer run for their lives. Eagles fly away from volcanoes. If we remain passive, we will miss out or opt out of our own evolution and grand tragedy will ensue. Here in America our great (great) grandparents lived during a social evolution from which we now enjoy a great many things. If we let ourselves courageously evolve through forgiveness, we may open up new vistas yet unimagined. We have to allow the change. It is coming, forward or backward is the choice. What is your worldview?
