Mutiny Radio is an all- volunteer, collectively run internet radio station, based in San Francisco, California. Formerly known as Pirate Cat Radio, Mutiny Radio is a San Francisco gem known for doing things differently. This station features a mix of local music, news, politics, and cultural events that are often neglected by corporate media.

Mutiny has also provided a great deal of coverage of the Occupy Movement, when other outlets refused. During election season, while many other outlets aired the debates, Mutiny hosted “Occupy the Debates”. This provided the community a platform to voice their opinion and rebut the presidential candidates on the air.

Going forward, the station plans to continue expanding their local community engagement in a number of ways, including:
-Partnering with the Boys and Girls Club and providing a broadcasting workshop for local Bay Area youth.
-Increase the amount of educational programming and partner with local schools that want to teach classes in the studios.
-Upgrade their website and podcast system so more community news and announcements are readily available.
-Bring more noted artists and speakers to their gallery space.
-Add more community reporting including debates, demonstrations, and lectures--giving our listeners remote access to important events in the community

In order to do this, Mutiny Radio has set up a Kickstarter campaign to raise the necessary funds. Those interested in supporting Mutiny Radio’s campaign are encouraged to visit contribute to their Kickstarter campaign located at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/alazenby/mutiny-radio-takin-it-to-the-streets
