I am writing this to the Republicans who said they were NOT for Trump and those who now know better.

A 33 year old State Representative Beth Fukumoto was voted out by her fellow Republicans this week from her position as  Minority Leader of the Hawaiian House of Representatives. After marching and speaking at the Women’s March, Beth said, "They told me they would keep me in this position if I would commit to not disagreeing with our president for the remainder of his term. Mr. Speaker, I am being removed as I refuse to make that commitment. I believe as Americans, and members of this body we have a responsibility to criticize power when power is wrong," said Rep. Fukumoto.

If Republicans would remember, that first they are human beings, 2nd they are Americans who live in a Democracy and are voted to office by other human beings, 3rd they may have family to consider, 4th they may believe in some form of the golden rule which is the basis for all religions and way way down the list they are Republicans. Do you all remember when your Mother told you not to go along with the other kids if they were doing the wrong things..if they were not telling the truth or they were being  bullies. Don’t play with them. What is this party affiliation stuff that has you so intoxicated you have forgotten who you are? So what if you don’t get  reelected because the money wants you to play their game? Is it worth your soul? Your integrity?

Right now for the sake of all school children in this country, are you going to throw away their rights by voting for Betsy DeVos, a woman whose money has gotten her the nomination for Education Secretary and although she is totally unqualified.

We are all looking for heroes and heroines. Please join the Beth Fukumoto club.. Be brave. Remember who you are and why you are in the position you are in at this point in time. It is not to hang out with the sheep. This democracy needs you.
