Ann Romney says 'stop it' while her husband continues push to hurt American 'victims'

The wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney says "stop it" to his GOP critics.

“Stop it. This is hard. You want to try it? Get in the ring,” Ann Romney said. “This is hard and, you know, it’s an important thing that we’re doing right now and it’s an important election and it is time for all Americans to realize how significant this election is and how lucky we are to have someone with Mitt’s qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country.” (audio via Radio Iowa - http://www.radioiowa.com/2012/09/20/ann-romney-to-critics-in-gop-you-want-to-try-it-get-in-the-ring-audio/)

Ann says it's an "important thing" they are doing. Writing off half the nation is an important thing to them. Their mega wealthy donors have paid for the work and the Romneys - as all elected Republicans - have to come through.

Ann's comments are utterly absurd. What she is doing is damage control. You know you're in trouble when your own sensible party members attack you for truthful comments.

And, yes, they are truthful. Mitt Romney truly believes half the nation can be written off. Mitt Romney truly doesn't care about half the country. Mitt Romney truly doesn't care about those people because they don't purchase $50,000 plates of dinner to hear him speak. Mitt Romney truly wants half of America to fail while sucking on them for votes.

And Mitt Romney truly represents an American sellout by making sure he banked profits from jobs sent overseas.

Ann, no one needs to "stop it" when it comes to criticizing your husband. You, Mitt and the rest of the Republicans in this country need to stop the constant abuse of the American people.

We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.

General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.

Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

Emphatically, I too, agree totally.

I couldn't have said it as well, let alone any better than you did when you stated that Republicans need to stop the constant abuse of the American people.

I feel abused and I can even be numbered among the targeted groups intended to have their vote suppressed. And yes, that is exactly what it is.

I know we've hesitated calling it voter suppression but there is no other excuse for what was done. There isn't even any empirical evidence supporting the need for stricter voter ID laws, unless one hears some made up reason that can be researched and disqualified.

So again, on behalf of all of us who have been abused or seen the abuse being carried out, thank you for putting into words what needed to be stated. We are being abused by a singular political party. That is not what the United States of America should be about.

It is not the democracy we preach about bringing to oppressed peoples in far away countries -- not when we are oppressing our own on our nation's own soil.

Without the workers the wealthy would have nothing.

Quoting worldviewer:
Without the workers the wealthy would have nothing.

Problem is from their perspective 98% of us are expendable and replaceable. From a global perspective you are correct in your statemet but on a case by case basis they see us as interchangeable cogs. If one of us won't do what they want they will simple find another one of us who will.

Bottom line: they're special, we are all just minions who are here to serve them. Our needs, hopes, desires, dreams, and goals are of no interest or concern to them.

Nothing new here, this mindset has been around since the pharaohs. If you could get inside Mitten's brain I suspect you'd find a belief that he is indeed favored by GOD and therefore deserves to rule over all of us.

Should he win in November 98% of us are all royally and truly screwed.

My guess is that Mr. Romney is co-dependent with his wife, and probably most of the rest of the people who buy into his rant.

Co-dependency always involves three roles:
. vicitm

. rescuer . persecuter

Romney is the victim, Ann Romney is the rescuer, and ANYONE who dares criticize Romney is the persecuter.

When he's speaking to crowds, Romney spouts the victim's mantra, saying we need to rescued from big government, and makes the crowd the rescuer by asking them to vote for him.

In actuality, the real victims are the people that he, Bain Capital, and other people like him, put out of work, by destroying their companies and the towns the companies were in.

He promotes himself as the "savior," when in actuality, he and those like him are the destroyers of the middle class.
