Former Fox News Employee: Trump Tried to Kiss Me on the Lips

By Avery Anapol, The Hill

09 December 17

former syndicated Fox News host said Friday that President Trump tried to kiss her in an elevator in "2005 or 2006," which she said surprised her but did not make her feel threatened.

It's unclear whether Trump was married at the time since Juliet Huddy does not recall the exact date, Page Six reported.

“He took me for lunch at Trump Tower, just us two,” Huddy said on Compound Media’s “Mornin’! With Bill Schulz.” “He said 'goodbye' to me in an elevator while his security guy was there; rather than kiss me on the cheek he leaned in to kiss me on the lips. I wasn’t offended, I was kind of like, ‘Oh my god.' ”

She added that she “didn’t feel threatened,” but was “surprised” that Trump tried to kiss her.

“It was a weird moment,” she said. “He never tried anything after that, and I was never alone with him.”

Huddy said that while she was not offended at the time, in hindsight she would have resisted his advances.

“Now I have matured I think I would say, ‘Woah, no,’ but at the time I was younger and I was a little shocked,” she said. “I thought maybe he didn’t mean to do it, but I was kind of making excuses.”

Trump later joked about the incident, she said. Trump appeared to acknowledge his past with Huddy in an appearance on her Fox News show, saying, “I hit on her but she blew me off."

Huddy, who appeared on multiple Fox News shows and co-hosted a syndicated show based on New York affiliate channel WNYW, left Fox News after filing a harassment complaint against Bill O’Reilly. She accepted a reported six-figure settlement from Fox’s parent company, 21st Century Fox. O’Reilly was fired earlier this year over sexual harassment allegations.

Huddy added that she was “disappointed” in Trump’s reaction to the O’Reilly news.

“When all the stuff came out about Bill O’Reilly, Donald Trump was one of the people who said, ‘I don’t believe this happened and I don’t believe he did it,’ ” Huddy said. “I was actually very disappointed in Trump, I thought, ‘You know what, f--- you.’ ”

Huddy's comments come amid a national conversation about sexual misconduct by powerful men. More than a dozen accusations of sexual harassment and assault were made against Trump during his 2016 campaign. The White House claims the women making such claims are lying.

After Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) stepped down from the Senate on Thursday over groping allegations, some lawmakers, including Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), have called for Trump to step down over the allegations against him. your social media marketing partner

A note of caution regarding our comment sections:

For months a stream of media reports have warned of coordinated propaganda efforts targeting political websites based in the U.S., particularly in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

We too were alarmed at the patterns we were, and still are, seeing. It is clear that the provocateurs are far more savvy, disciplined, and purposeful than anything we have ever experienced before.

It is also clear that we still have elements of the same activity in our article discussion forums at this time.

We have hosted and encouraged reader expression since the turn of the century. The comments of our readers are the most vibrant, best-used interactive feature at Reader Supported News. Accordingly, we are strongly resistant to interrupting those services.

It is, however, important to note that in all likelihood hardened operatives are attempting to shape the dialog our community seeks to engage in.

Adapt and overcome.

Are any of the lawmakers calling for him to step down Republicans? If not, it doesn't matter. They are in control.

Trump is the perfect model of hypocrisy. If anyone on his team commits a sexual crime, to a minor or not, it is ok with the GOP. No clear cut evidence, the witneses are lying, the system is rigged etc. The person involved can still make a contribution to the welfare of the party and maybe even the state.

But, let a Democrat commit a sexual sin and it is the beginning of the end days. Schumer and Pelosi need no more recruits for their evil cause and it is time to really hammer those wretched politicians, Democrats of course, for their nefarious actions.

Trump divides, then conquers. Who does that remind you of?

He could have raped her in that elevator and he'd still be OK by current Republican standards!

By his own words, he could shoot someone in the street in downtown Manhattan and his people would still vote for him.
Make Amerika rape again.

All of this discussion is getting rather weird. Kissing, touching, and other things don't have to be sexual, illegal, or improper. People kiss all the time for many perfectly healthy and innocent reasons. We are not concerned with those. We are concerned with sexual aggression and attempts to force sex on someone. There's also a difference between force and surprise. It goes to intent. It seems certain that Moore was intending to have sex with the young women he approached. This is not the case with Franken. In this case, it appears Trump's interest was sex but he was rebuffed and he let it go.

The US is more squeamish about any sort of contract between males and females than are most cultures. This is the result of its Puritan heritage which taught that sex and all contact between males and females was evil. The media generally takes a puritanical view of all this.

I just think it is important to focus on criminal acts. Rape is not sex. It is an act o violence, an assault. Real sex can often be confusing. Sometimes people feel awkward and regret it. Trump's comment “I hit on her but she blew me off" is what happens often. That does not mean it was criminal.

One reason why Catholic priests are not allowed to marry is so that they don't "hit on women" and get blown off. Power obsessed people don't like to get blown off.
