Trump: Barack Obama Will Be the Last Black President for Generations

By Goldie Taylor, Blue Nation Review

ilded gaffe machine Donald Trump is at it again.

Not only does the casino mogul turned 2016 GOP hopeful think he will win over African American voters, he says President Barack Obama will likely be the last black president for generations to come.

Joining ABC’s This Week, Trump said he thinks Obama has created a “very poor standard” and has, thus, harmed any chance that voters will send another African American to the White House. “I think he has set a very low bar, and I think it’s a shame for the African American people,” Trump said.

The bellicose billionaire boasted previously that he likes black people and they like him. He also contends that, despite his virulent remarks on immigration, he will also win among Hispanic voters. Trump fired a senior campaign aide Sunday after racist social media posts were revealed.

On the possibility that Vice President Joe Biden might join the presidential race, he said, “I think he’s been very loyal to the president. That’s one thing I will say.”

He went on to say that he does not believe Biden will be effective on the campaign trail. “There’s a lot of anger in the country. There’s a lot of anger with respect to President Obama. That would include Joe Biden. Because nothing’s been done. I mean, we’ve got a country that’s in turmoil.”

He does believe, however, that Biden has a good chance against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He “would have a good chance,” Trump said. “I don’t think he could’ve beaten her six months ago, or even three months ago. I think the email scandal is going to be a devastating blow for Hillary. If you have an honorable prosecutor, which we’ll see whether or not that happens, because they’re all Democrats.”

In the meantime, Trump’s polls numbers among likely Republican voters in early key states continue to soar. The first GOP debate is set for Thursday.
