The Republican Brand Name...

Seeing there's a plan to run this country as a corporation, I thought it's about time we look at the brand name on our latest product. We have in our state houses and in the Congress of pack of corporate whores who seem to think that it's time labor and those who work for a living, learn their place.

From the union busting maneuvers in Wisconsin and many other states to Maine's latest boondoggle. This involves moving a series of murals which portray labor in a positive light. A few panels about historically important strikes and one about Rosie The Riviter.

Yup old Rosie's fallen on hard times. Seems she reminds women that they were largely responsible for driving American industry during World War II. Can't have that! Damned uppity women might demand the right to vote or get paid on an equal basis for the same work as men do.

The bald-faced arrogance of some the Republicans currently in power cannot be overlooked or mistaken any longer. While I don't believe the rank and file Republicans all agree with the attitudes currently being portrayed by their leaders, there's no escaping the splatter and fallout that's besmirching them all.

So maybe you're not a union member and you don't think any of this will affect you. If you work for a living, you're considered "labor". Not by me, by your corporate overlords. These measures will not stop at breaking the unions, both public and private. They will come for your pension and benefits next. They want it all. Recent measures in Michigan have given the governor there the ability to wipe out local elections on a whim. "OH, you elected this guy Mayor?? too bad! I don't like him, he's out! Your new mayor is the head of Monsanto!"

Republicans are the folks who screamed that people making $250,000 a year were not rich and needed a tax cut. Now they scream that a teacher making $58,000 a year is a greedy pig that's sucking the economy dry!

I'm tired of hearing about the differences between the Republican party and the Tea Party. The only difference I can discern is that while one is bad, the other one is worse.

Selling out our nation's interests to a pack of corporate whores has to stop. We have to stop following the babblings of Fox News. The only major news outlet that sued for the right to lie on TV news broadcasts. (Florida, 2003)

And we have to stop believeing that Republican candidates know what's good for us. They don't care about us. They care about their corporate overlords and little else.

The Republican brand name is forever tarnished with this demagoguery. It's a stain that will never wash out.
