Prediction 2018

In less than two weeks, we will be casting our votes in what may be the most important election in our lifetimes, if not in the history of the United States. I predict that the Republicans will receive less than half of the votes cast. I also predict that the Republicans will receive less than half of the votes counted. Due to gerrymandering and voter suppression, the Republicans may be able to retain control of the US House of Representatives, but I certainly hope not. The GOP are using scare tactics to influence the vote, and fear is an effective motivator. I predicted a Democratic victory in 2016 and I was wrong. I could be wrong again in 2018, but I trust that my fellow Americans will not be duped two elections in succession. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
