Martin Shkreli Booted From Twitter For Harassment. Why Not Trump?

Martin Shkreli was booted off Twitter for allegedly harassing Teen Vogue writer Lauren Duca. Following a series of tweets, one containing a Photoshopped picture of his head on the body of Duca’s husband. In another he invited her to the inauguration of Donald Trump, even though she’s married.  His Twitter header was a collage of Duca’s pictures. Shkreli’s account was suspended by Twitter.

It’s obvious that Shkreli was harassing Duca; I’d call this more along the lines of stalking. Please take a minute to read Twitter’s official verbiage on harassment:

Harassment: You may not incite or engage in the targeted abuse or harassment of others. ... if a primary purpose of the reported account is to harass or send abusive messages to others; if the reported behavior is one-sided or includes threats; if the reported account is inciting others to harass another account; and.

I have one question:  If Shkreli is guilty of harassment by “targeted abuse” or to “send abusive messages to others,” why isn’t Donald Trump called out on this also?

The world watches daily as Trump issues insulting Tweets to both individuals and institutions who dare to have a differing opinion.  Citizens are berated, called “dumb,” “stupid,” “haters,” “loser,” “psycho,” “unattractive,” “bimbo,” “coward,” “totally dishonest,” “clowns,” “flunky,” and a host of other names.  Institutions are denounced with words like “failing,” “witch hunt,” “dishonest,” “fiction,” “fake news,” “really bad people,” “newspaper of fiction,” “worthless,” “media rigging the election,” “unethical record,” – it goes on and on.  It’s pathetically childish of a man who’s supposed to be a leader of the world’s greatest country.

Twitter needs to boot Trump for harassment.  This way he couldn’t govern by edict, using Twitter to deflect daily from what the real news should be:  investigating him in all aspects – especially the Russian election influencing, his conflicts of interest and true digging on that shady bunch he’s chosen as his administration appointees, and most of all – holding Donald Trump accountable for every action of his “presidency.”
