The Mark of Cain

Cain was Adam and Eve's first born, and Abel was their second. Cain was a gardener and Abel was a herder and shepherd.

Cain offered the fruits of his labor to God and Abel offered God the first born from his herds and flocks. God had regard for Abel's offering, but not for Cain's. By offering the eldest and keeping the youngest, Abel's offering expressed a preference for the new in an ever-changing world.

Birth order psychology notes that second-borns welcome change whereas first-borns resist change. Second-borns are natural progressives and liberal whereas first-borns are naturally conservative. But children’s relationship with parents can nurture them to be liberals or conservatives. Obama is conservative by nature, but liberal by nurture. He gets his competitive nature from being first-born, but liberal nurturing makes him more co-operative. As he puts it, “I got game.”

Studies on birth order psychology show that when major changes occurred in world history that a generation of second-borns led the way.

Cain felt God slighted him so he slew Abel, and when God asked Cain where his brother was he answered, "I know not. Am I my brother's keeper?"

Obama is framing the current political debate as whether this country is one where we care for one another or one where every man just looks out for himself. Are we our brother's keeper or not?

God banished Cain from the soil saying that it would never again yield for him. Cain thought his punishment was harsh and asked God for protection. God gave him the mark of Cain to protect him from others. Anyone that killed him would receive seven times Cain's punishment.

Mormon's believe that being black is the mark of Cain, and that blacks wander the earth in the hopes that people kill them in order to take the curse of Cain upon themselves.

A black man named Herman Cain and former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza was at one point a front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination. Two of his opponents for the nomination were Mormons, and one is currently poised to take on Obama in the general election.

Obama defeated John McCain in the 2008 elections. McCain was the descendent of southern slave owners who used blacks to work the land.

Herman Cain is still around advocating free markets. Here is one of his latest commercials where a rabbit is used for a clay pigeon. Blowing up rabbits doesn't exhibit a lot of respect for flesh and blood.
