INTERNET ' KETTLING ' - How often are YOU being censored on social media?

Do you believe in true free use of Facebook, where you can get across your points as many times as you want without being censored?  You might believe you have the freedoms to become popular, but you'll find that Facebook has a sly blocking/limiting mechanism,  of course which they would deny... and would probably only admit to blocking 'offensive' material.  A popular political activist, independent journalist who believes in civil rights, anti-racism, equal pay, a right to life might suddenly become that censored person if their views do not fit into the 'mainstream political programme'.  We still live in the era of old establishment and special interest groups controlling what we read, who we can reach out to, inorder to prevent us from affecting the political programme. I have coined a new terminology to identify that internet censorship, I call it 'Internet Kettling'. Police use 'kettling' to block protestors into a specific corner, and that is exactly what Facebook and many other sites can also do now, according to their political controllers/ high-paying customer's demands.

I noticed that two days before the EU referendum that I could not post any more links on Facebook - I was campaigning daily for the 'Leave & UKIP team', and supplied literally hundreds of links for many months, information which I had found, and which others posted and which I re-posted in support of leaving the EU. UKIP'ers even suggested I should enter politics.  Amazing response, really great at the time to know that I had an audience, supporters, people who also believed in what I believed at the time, and that we all worked towards on common goal- to get our nation the United Kingdom out of the European Union and achieve our independence, run our own country and give powers back into the hands of the British Parliament once more.

It was around June the 20th , 2016 and the 'likes' on comments and information I posted on Facebook in support of leaving the EU went down from 100's of Facebook 'likes' to virtually ZERO. Believe me, the internet is being censored, Facebook are paid-off to limit your reach if you are gaining popularity against their special interest high-paying buddies. I still get few 'likes' on my Facebook posts- it is obvious I am being censored on Facebook.  I can post links again, but the few 'likes' that I get in comparison to prior the EU Referendum tells me that my name has been added to a Facebook restrictive list,  where they control who sees your posts -  they probably do not want 'cyber-heroes', anyone becoming popular who might turn people away from voting one way or another, or allowing those with good journalistic blogs or who get articles published at alternative websites.

I would have probably made a considerable impact in reaching many people via Facebook in support of Britain leaving the EU - I supplied statistical links to UKIP'ers and the 'Leave the EU' Campaigners to be shared,  I was never racist, unfair, and only debated with those who threw what I believed to be rubbish 'scare-tactics' at the Leave Campaign and at UKIP. I provided statistics such as housing availability, the cost of housing benefits, education costs, health-care costs of uncontrolled immigration which were probably considered 'insulting' by many people, who probably flagged my posts on Facebook as 'racist' or something like that, and the Facebook reviewers might have blocked me that way.  People should realize by now that Facebook is a service which is 'free to use',  but not to use freely as you wish.  It has become a political business with special interests, and none of us general users get to see who pays them, or who pays them to delete or censor/limit the comments you make on Facebook.

This has to be stopped - if Facebook is to maintain any credibility, then it has to be free to use, within boundaries, obviously, but not including the censoring of specific individuals who manage to build an audience for educational/informative objectives.  There needs to be some sort of mass-survey, asking Facebook users for similar experiences as I have, many alternative sites could have a survey tool to ask people if they also believe they are getting few 'likes', particularly if they were getting hundreds per comment, as I was pre-EU Referendum (I noticed the blocking of links and the few 'likes' on my comments/posts started on around June 20th, 2016.

If you truly do not believe in censorship (apart from censoring of people preaching violence, vulgar posts, regular insulting/abuse/trolling of specific people etc etc) then we need a survey to be set up, perhaps across all sites, or a website where people can take a survey/questionaire to find out how far this is going, to determine the scope of Facebook censorship.  I make sure I never troll anybody on Facebook, that is how you get your name damaged, and if you troll a person maliciously they will only get you blocked or troll you. It is time to take the gloves off, some people like me have potential reach and wallop, and soft-coated mittens are for boxing rings, not the so-called 'Facebook',  where your true face and true colours are suppressed and silenced.  Or am I just being paranoid?  I doubt it.  Internet kettling does exist.

The mainstream media are doing a similar thing by pumping out the anti-Trump articles, just as the U.K media pumped out the 'anti-Brexit' message, and we have no idea to what extent media cirles are being bought-off to join the 'anti-Trump' lobbyists.  After all, money speaks louder than words, and the Clinton campaigners and their lobbyists have hundreds of millions of dollars to pay media circles to slam Trump's name against the wall and to promote or publish only pro-Clinton articles. Do we really want establishment contol of the internet?  While there is a case to limit vile, abusive, racist and violent people, a political activist or journalist should have the freedom to say what they want, when they want - without censorship. Big media groups do get more investment to attack specific groups of activists, to silence specific views , and to even shut down big names at the drop of a hat.
