Something had been bothering me for sometime, a faint memory - with "the B G's" singing "Stain' Alive " attached - of the famiy "Bush". It was a faint urge and I let it go. It came back last night, so I had to:

The text therein is very damning and should be very familiar to us all, except that no one has connected that criminal event with today's economy. I believe the wikipedia text is a direct quote from a book by Steven Wilmsen-Washington Silverado: Neil Bush and the Savings and Loan Scandal National Press Books, 1991 or it could be from http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A35297-2003Dec27 by Peter Carlson. I now firmly believe that "the Bush scam" had been tried and perfected long before "W" ever achieved POTUS. Neil Bush is hardly mentioned by anyone today. He is a son of George W, who was then V.P. of the USA. He was a prominent figure at the Silverado Savings and Loan and fined for his involvement. Who among us remembers that Jeb Bush had run a similar S&L scam in the state of Florida before becoming governor? Go ahead think of me as paranoid, but this criminal act was "test ran" back in the 80's and found to be viable and nurtured under "W's" two terms of office

Fast forward to 2008, the same kind of scam explodes, but on a larger scale (The beast grew well). The GOP would have us believe that the current White House must now be responsible, after all Obama has been POTUS for "three years" and has exclusive ownership of the current economy . How would repairs be possible in such a short time frame from such a beast? This beast has been alive since sometime during the early 80's and had been documented striking in 1988. The USA had a recession and a war in 1990. How can it be that mainstream media/democrats haven't connected the S&L scandal? They certainly know what happened, but somehow this S&L event has been thoroughly erased and never pops up in current debates. Never forget 9/11 became one of "W's" tenants of his presidency but I think I'll never forget the S&L debacle again. Please share your thoughts.
