The Big Guys of Faux Organics Are Cramming Coexistence with GMOs Down Our Throats

Genuine organic good cannot be produced on a mass scale. Organic farming is inherently conflicted with Agribusiness. That’s why corporations like Whole Foods Market, Stonyfield Farms, and Organic Valley cannot be considered legitimate organic producers. The truth of that is shown as the Big Three of Faux Organics tell us that we must coexist with Monsanto’s genetically modified poisons!

The USDA recently deregulated genetically modified alfalfa. That means it can now be planted with impunity. The associated massive use of pesticides will, of course, grow even more massive. The pollution of the genetic heritage of alfalfa is assured—which means that organic alfalfa will be polluted.

This is an assault on the health of all humans. It’s chemical warfare on farm workers, who have no choice but to coexist with the poisonous pesticides—for as long as they can, anyway. And it’s an assault on all organic foods. There will be no way to keep the organic seed pool pure. Even the term organic will cease to have any significant meaning.

There is no way to keep the genes of GMO alfalfa from getting into the environment. This can, in no sense, be considered coexistence. The entire game has been handed to genetically modifed crops.

Yet, Whole Faux Foods, Stonyfake Farms, and Organic Ditch are going right along with it.

**The Foxy Faux Organics Trio**

Naturally, they have a cute spin giving the impression that they’re still going to fight GMOs. They’re even pushing people to urge the USDA to agree to “conditional deregulation coexistence”. How can one coexist with something that will destroy what you are? It’s obviously fraudulent. So what do they hope to get out of it?

Here is what Whole Foods says they want:

-- "The protection of seed purity for all farmers, including organic, so we maintain variety and avoid massive mono-culture;"

-- "Compensation by the patent holder to the farmer for any losses related to the contamination of his crop; and"

-- "Public oversight by the USDA rather than relying on the biotechnology industry to voluntarily try to contain GE contamination as the USDA has the authority to protect all US agriculture."

That they could even include the first item with a straight face is simply unbelievable. Alfalfa pollination is accomplished with bees. Exactly how do they propose to fully control the movement of bees? It’s impossible to prevent the cross-contamination of GMO alfalfa with either conventionally or organic crops. It’s insane to suggest that they can.

The Unholy Trio of Faux Organics is hoping to con the public into helping them get the second item: compensation for themselves for the contamination of their crops. They are hoping to profit from the loss of organics.

This does precisely nothing to protect the people from GMOs. It accomplishes one thing only—fattening their own pockets. GMOs will contaminate everything. They know it. So they’re acting exactly like any other Agribusiness corporation. They’re attempting to profit from anything and everything, no matter how destructive. And they spin it to convince the public that they’re doing the opposite.

Regarding the last item that Fully Empty Foods claims they want: It’s absurd beyond comprehension. The USDA has clearly become a lackey of the GMO juggernaut. These foxes in the organic hen house certainly know that. There can be no question that it’s nothing but a farce to suggest that the USDA monitor genetic engineering contamination.

Food Freedom (http://tinyurl.com/4n8s9v9) has insightful information on this travesty. They note that the CEOs of Stonyfield and Whole Foods are buddies with Tom Vilsack, the Secretary of Agriculture, whose purview includes the USDA. They have contributed to his election campaigns, in spite of being named Governor of the Year by the Biotechnology Association.

**No Coexistence with GMOs!**

The bottom line is that there cannot be coexistence with GMOs. They’ve already escaped into the wild. Super weeds are an existing menace. The toxins from GMO crops are found in pregnant women and their fetuses already. GM animal feed is causing infertility in food animals. GMO foods are linked to birth defects and suspected of causing the increasing rate of infertility in people. GMO crops are dying off suddenly.

And all that’s happened without deregulation! Do we really want to find out how bad it can get?

If we go along with Whole Foods Market, Organic Valley, and Stonyfield Farm, we’re sure to find out. The fact is that we may not win this battle. However, if we go along with what the Unholy Trio of Faux Organics want, then we’ve lost. We’ll simply be helping them line their pockets—just like any other Agribusiness corporation.

Keep this reality in mind before stopping in at a Whole Food Market or picking up a pack of Organic Valley milk or Stonyfield yogurt. The only thing organic about them is the words on their labels. They’re Agribusiness, not farmers. They use the image of organics to market their products. The real thing isn’t their concern, as this latest turn of events makes absolutely clear.
