At McCain's funeral we are crying because, the Compromise Politics since World War II is gone. Once there were Southern Democrats vs Northern Democrats. Once when a Hillary and a Bernie fought, some on the first ballot would have voted for favorite sons and the nominee would have been a compromise candidate, or Hillary's VP would have been Bernie-like.

In West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin completely represents West Virginia not Dems or Repubicats. Others represent their party first, For 240 years there had been many such politicians, now one left, thus the America we knew for 240 years is no more.


The best hope would be for America to move toward become many party with a clambering of people calling for ending winner take all when no one receives a majority. So if a future Trump failed to get a majority of voters there would be a follow-up election, or second choice votes added

One hope would be an example; the best looming possibility could be the NJ Senate race, where if "Neither-of-the-Above" had been on the ballot it would win by double digits. But there are third party candidates on the NJ ballot that the news shows cheat the voters by not mentioning.
