Obama Proclaims: Free Love is now Constitutional

I guess I am still a little giddy over Obama's big win of last night and I am trying to figure out what it all means. In the following excerpt from his acceptance speech, Obama proclaimed a new fundamental freedom for us; our right of choosing where we love.

Obama; “America, I believe we can build on the progress we've made and continue to fight for new jobs and new opportunity and new security for the middle class. “I believe we can keep the promise of our founders, the idea that if you're willing to work hard, it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from or what you look like or where you love.”

I take this statement at face value. Perhaps now as hardworking teenagers everywhere sneak away to make love in the back seats of the family cars in the dimly lit parking lots overlooking the shimmering street lights of the nation’s cities, they will not have to be distracted by keeping an eye out for nosy security guards.

The government continues to gather all sorts of private information about us since May 26, 2011 when President Obama used an Autopen to sign a four-year extension of three key provisions in the USA PATRIOT Act while he was in France. The roving wiretaps, searches of business records (the "library records provision"), and conducting surveillance of "lone wolves" — individuals suspected of terrorist-related activities not linked to terrorist groups will have to continue. However, we now have a safe refuge from government surveillance in the backseat of the family car.
