Obama's hollow call for civility in the wake of murder and mayhem in Arizona will disappear like so much hot air. It will affect no real change. Not so much because there is no need for civility. There is. More than at any moment in history there is a need for civility.

There will be no change because Obama is not a civilized man. His hollow call, as empty and meaningless as a host of his other rhetorical utterances, is drowned out by his own barbaric acts.

Civilized leaders...
Don’t authorize indefinite solitary confinement of ... any human being.
Don’t authorize the torture of ... any human being.
Don’t forgive and forget the torturers.
Don’t use drones that kill more innocent civilians than enemy soldiers.
Don’t authorize the indefinite detention without trial of ... any human being.
Don’t authorize the investigation and arrest of peace activists.
Don’t deprive any human beings of habeas corpus.
Don’t use the third-party secret prisons run by uncivilized paid mercenaries.

Obama’s call to civility amounts to a validation of barbarism by omission. He does not condemn the crosshairs or the reloading or the blood speech of Sarah Palin because he himself stands shoulder to shoulder with her when it comes to the barbarism that has steadily increased since he took office.

When it comes to civility, when you look at his record of barbaric acts, he is no more civilized than Palin. They are on the same barbaric page.
Obama is Palin without the lipstick.
