peace and justice

“Peace and justice”, (rsn goals), don’t work well together. If by “peace” we mean absence of war it’s condition is trust in man and expensive. If we mean “peace of mind” it is free, a gift from God, the condition trust in God. If by “justice” we mean “social justice”, the condition is equality and trust in the collective.  Equality then will destroy individuality-the goals don’t fit.

So we must chose ether peace or justice? Perhaps not. If we forget about peace and attain justice, peace hopefully a consequence, individuality and collective rule would not be in conflict? After all, we come to the peace of Christ only as individuals and Christ is Peace.  Maybe peace is liberty subservient to justice, and justice is simply freedom to commit one’s self to others.

Still, collective rule [man’s rule] has never brought peace.  What say M Ash I wonder. your social media marketing partner

A note of caution regarding our comment sections:

For months a stream of media reports have warned of coordinated propaganda efforts targeting political websites based in the U.S., particularly in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

We too were alarmed at the patterns we were, and still are, seeing. It is clear that the provocateurs are far more savvy, disciplined, and purposeful than anything we have ever experienced before.

It is also clear that we still have elements of the same activity in our article discussion forums at this time.

We have hosted and encouraged reader expression since the turn of the century. The comments of our readers are the most vibrant, best-used interactive feature at Reader Supported News. Accordingly, we are strongly resistant to interrupting those services.

It is, however, important to note that in all likelihood hardened operatives are attempting to shape the dialog our community seeks to engage in.

Adapt and overcome.

Nope. One premise is wrong from the outset.

Equality supports individuality. To frame them as mutually exclusive is irresponsible. Inequality is inherently oppressive to somebody, there's no individual freedom for them. So one must ask, if the goals don't fit, whose goals are you referring to?

The goals of peace and justice.

I should have said egalitarianism not equality.
It, egalitarianism, seems necessary for peace, while Justice needs a collective. If peace is simply the absence of conflict justice is the presence of conflict.

"Inequality is inherently oppressive to somebody, there's no individual freedom for them"?

Really? We are all not free (as individuals) to feel oppressed. Otherwise we would hardly be free?

goals of peace and justice. can't have both. you pays your money and yous takes your choice
