Extreme Right-Wing Politics

Nothing is wrong about one’s politics being moral, even religious-driven. It’s when one’s religious belief become intrusive and intractable they can’t compromise with one of a different view.
In the opinion of this writer, there is an extreme religious view among evangelicals that dominate the politics of the Republican Party. For example, their “script” that the nation of Israel occupies a preeminent seat in the economy of God (and thus by default) has more of a moral right to exist than any other nation in the Middle East is a slippery slope. Surely, you have heard their story. If not, here’s a quick summary: The Creator calls upon the United Kingdom and the United States to be Israel’s war ally in establishing their prominence in the world. And that God, in His futuristic world, will bring Jesus back to the City of Jerusalem to rule over the whole world, and any nation that does not politically support and comply with Israel desire labors under a divine curse.
I have witnessed how these religious and political “operatives” brag and rejoice in their futuristic world. Today, there is an extreme right-wing faction of the Republican Party that subscribes to “millennia-mania.” I believe the philosophy is dangerous.
Their drum-beat is heard among the evangelicals and the Tea Party, known as "T"vangelicals.
If the superstitions of Zionism influences the mind to the extent that one is determined to incorporate it into American foreign policy and American politics, we should expect nothing short of resentment from those who have an opposing view in the Middle-East.
The use and abuse of a Judea-Christian doctrine in eschatology ought to be alarming to all.
Since 9-11, America has been at war against Islam, and the extreme purists’ of the Taliban, and against the other extreme radicals of Ghad that call for a caliphate.
If the American electorate cannot or will not tamp down the extreme purists’ of the right-wing fundamentalists in the Republican Party, how will America ever convince the Middle East nations we are a people of reason?
