Trump's Cruelty Knows No Bounds

By Robert Reich, Robert Reich's Facebook Page

10 August 19

hile Trump was supposed to be comforting grieving communities in Texas and Ohio, his enablers were ripping families apart in Mississippi. As he arrived in El Paso yesterday, immigration officials conducted their largest raid in years, detaining 680 workers and marching them onto buses with their hands zip-tied behind their back while their children looked on.

Trump’s rhetoric is stoking hatred and his policies are terrorizing communities. While the nation grieves, Trump and his enablers are tearing families apart. Their cruelty knows no bounds.

Nevertheless, Congress and the Courts not only do nothing to remove him, but are actually going to allow him to run for re-election. Darn Exceptional.

Sorry to see how far Reich has devolved. So let's see to disavow the fact that T visited El Paso as part of a compassionate move as duly Elected President of the USA .. the Left has to tie the immigration sting - they were all illegals working illegally .. that is Against the Law in this country .. and blame some far fetched rhetorical connection to further demonize Trump .. i get it all right .. er All LEFT!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

TRUMP'S CREDO

Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise—*stomp* on these things.

Look, he lives in antagonism. He engages everything from that perspective. It’s his nature. His dukes are permanently up. He’s a hostile human being. All labels – racist, misogynist, bigot, whatever – are secondary. They are a function of his basic identity, just him in his standard mode of attacking.

Holding this perspective might change the undertone of outrage that characterizes what people write and say. If we saw him for the base human he is, there might be some collective reframing of the way to treat him where we don’t take the bait of this and that, going down every rabbit hole of details to support our contentions, but have him pilloried for every word out of the mouth of one giant seething mass of misanthropy.

Trump is so consistently extreme in his basic inhumanity that one tends to frame him in biblical terms: that he is an anti-christ figure preparing the ground for Armageddon. But, not so fast. Two divine presences are about to enter the physical world, ready to take on Sir Donald and all his wretched followers. For those interested, check out
the Omega Institute, Rhinebeck, New York. Try late August, 2019.

Cuddling babies really does make you smile! The pic of Melania Trump holding the orphaned baby, while she and the President grin widely is inappropriate, however. Possibly, it was thoughtless of whoever put it on line. L&B&L
