We're Supposed to Believe Khashoggi Died Boxing in the Saudi Consulate??

By Michael Moore, Michael Moore's Facebook Page

20 October 18

f course that’s it!! KHASHOGGI DIED BOXING! Trump and the Saudis are now on the same page: “An argument broke out between Mr. Khashoggi and men who met him inside the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2, leading to ‘a fistfight that led to his death.’” (NY Times) So, if I’m to understand it, Khashoggi’s face ran into a Saudi man’s fist, a fist so sharp it beheaded him and then accidentally dismembered him.

A note of caution regarding our comment sections:

For months a stream of media reports have warned of coordinated propaganda efforts targeting political websites based in the U.S., particularly in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

We too were alarmed at the patterns we were, and still are, seeing. It is clear that the provocateurs are far more savvy, disciplined, and purposeful than anything we have ever experienced before.

It is also clear that we still have elements of the same activity in our article discussion forums at this time.

We have hosted and encouraged reader expression since the turn of the century. The comments of our readers are the most vibrant, best-used interactive feature at Reader Supported News. Accordingly, we are strongly resistant to interrupting those services.

It is, however, important to note that in all likelihood hardened operatives are attempting to shape the dialog our community seeks to engage in.

Adapt and overcome.

The impunity of the world's worst criminals is just a little aggravating. Their cover-up lies are childish and stupid, thinking ANYONE is going to believe this story. Not only impunity, but laughing at us victims I'm sure. Trump and MbS, anyone wanna see either one get body-slammed, with laughs?

Of course, Michael, that's exactly what happened. You know that. Khashoggi went in there for a marriage license and ran into a fist instead. BTW I have a very nice bridge for sale. Interested?

This is what, the third or fourth try to come up with the "true" story? Rather like Judge Kavanaugh's testimony, and about as believable.

The Saudis have been watching the old "Get Smart" series. Remember when Agent 86 was caught in a lie, he would say, "Well, would you believe X?", and if that didn't work, he would say, "Well how about Y?" :-)

Moore-related: For the few that (seem to) have seen "Fahrenheit 11/9," it's interesting that the additional revelation about Flint is still being sat on. Moore even referred to it in his recent sitdown with Bill Maher.

Lets see the guy worked for the Washington Post. Oh you bet Trump put a hit on him.

The only way to get to the bottom of this is for Trump to go to the consulate by himself and have Melania wait outside in a car for him. What could possibly go wrong?

What do you want to bet that Trump's base believes every word of it?

It's like Sean Connery said in the movie, The Untouchables: "It's just like a Saudi to bring a bone saw to a fist fight!" Or, something like that.

It makes perfect sense to me. He ran into a sharp fist. Either that or rogue fighters accidentally got inside the Saudi Consulate. Saudi Arabia is one of the most frightening countries in the world. Nobody is going to accidentally get inside a consulate.

The Saudi's know how to manipulate Trump. They put a photo of him on a five story building and treated him like he wants to be treated...royal ty with no protesters.

Yes indeedy-oh: people get their fingers cut off in fistfights with 15 other fellows then fall into conveniently small pieces all the time, don’t they? Or, it’s ‘fake news’ that Trump’ll swallow….

C'mon, Michael. A lot of people get into fistfights when dealing with pencil pushing clerks at government agencies. Happens all the time down at the DMV. Why should anything be different at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul? Guy walks in on routine business requesting a document from a clerk and, before you know it, they are going at it right and left. Then the clerk beheads the guy and cuts him up with a bone saw. The boss knows about it (and probably ordered it), so a small lie is told about what happened. What's to get upset about? ;>)

Andy Borowitz nailed it. He had a piece saying that Sarah Huckabee Sanders was going to Arabia to teach the Saudis how to lie. With a government-cont rolled press, they have no experience in telling credible lies. "These clowns couldn't have gotten Kavanaugh confirmed," he quotes her as saying.

I expect he's right - Saudi citizens, or rather Saudi subjects, if they don't believe what their rulers say, don't dare say so, at least in public. And when that is the case, rulers don't have to bother to make their lies believable.

[Note: Borowitz writes satire! His work is fiction!!! The New Yorker website used to call his pieces "The News, Reshuffled." Now they are titled "Not the News." And RSN finds it necessary to tell readers that they are satire. Doh.]

Nobody wants to make yoks about it more than I do. But we are in the midst of a degenerate, murderous sadistic fascist nation, collaborating with others like it.USA, Saudi Arabia, Israel: the New Axis.

When satire has to be labeled as such, we are in a very bad place.
