The GOP House Intelligence Report White-Washes the Infamous Trump Tower Meeting
29 April 18
he GOP House Intelligence report on Trump and Russia white-washes the infamous Trump Tower meeting in June 2016 between a group of Russians and Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort. As Don Jr’s emails clearly showed, those top Trump campaign officials went to the meeting expecting to receive dirt on Hillary Clinton, supplied by the Russian government.
The GOP report fails to mention that right after Donald Jr. set up the specifics of this meeting, he had two calls with a number in Russia belonging to Emin Agalarov – the son and business partner of an oligarch close to Putin.
It also fails to mention that between those two calls, Donald Jr. received a third call -- from a blocked number. Who might that call have been from? If it was Donald Sr., President Trump knew about the meeting and its purpose. Bingo. Democrats on the committee wanted to find out whether the call was from Trump, but Republicans on the committee blocked that from happening.
Hmmm. What do you think?
