Remaining Countries on Trump's Itinerary Say They'd Rather Wait a Month and Meet With the Next President

By Andy Borowitz, The New Yorker

25 May 17

The article below is satire. Andy Borowitz is an American comedian and New York Times-bestselling author who satirizes the news for his column, "The Borowitz Report."

onald J. Trump’s foreign trip hit a snag on Tuesday, when the remaining countries on his itinerary announced that they would rather “wait a month” and meet with the next President instead.

“It makes no sense for us to roll out the red carpet for Trump when there is going to be a completely different guy in the White House in a month,” Hendrik van der Valde, a travel minister for the Belgian government, said. “We very much look forward to hosting the next U.S. President, be it Mike Pence or Paul Ryan or whoever.”

Citing the exorbitant costs of hosting a President, the Belgian said it “would be insane” to spend such sums on someone who “only has a few weeks left” in office.

“When a President comes to your country, you have to feed not only him but a whole plane full of people that he brings,” the minister added. “Jared Kushner, for example, eats a ton, and no one even knows what he does.”

NATO ministers, who had been slated to meet with Trump in Brussels on Thursday, voted unanimously last night to reschedule the meeting for June to accommodate his replacement.

According to one NATO minister, “We don’t see why we should be speaking to Donald Trump when even Melania isn’t doing that.” your social media marketing partner

A note of caution regarding our comment sections:

For months a stream of media reports have warned of coordinated propaganda efforts targeting political websites based in the U.S., particularly in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

We too were alarmed at the patterns we were, and still are, seeing. It is clear that the provocateurs are far more savvy, disciplined, and purposeful than anything we have ever experienced before.

It is also clear that we still have elements of the same activity in our article discussion forums at this time.

We have hosted and encouraged reader expression since the turn of the century. The comments of our readers are the most vibrant, best-used interactive feature at Reader Supported News. Accordingly, we are strongly resistant to interrupting those services.

It is, however, important to note that in all likelihood hardened operatives are attempting to shape the dialog our community seeks to engage in.

Adapt and overcome.

The point is we don't want Pence or Ryan either and Europe would feel the same way if they had a taste of either of them. Sadly, we must wait for the midterms to see if the republican stranglehold on the country will be released. Then we can play the game they did for the following two years till we get rid of all of them.

Unfortunately, baba, your "sarcasm" sounds an awful lot like true (nutty) belief. Especially when you insist on lumping everyone to YOUR left, including, I presume, Lyndon LaRouche, as "leftist."

Reports of Trump impeachment have been greatly exaggerated. I don't see him going anywhere. He's not doing just exactly what the Deep State wants him to do. Let's face it, the Israelis and Saudis have more oontrol over the Washington Regime than the American people do, and they seemed to like Trump just fine. He's safe.

The military-indust rial-complex is now perfectly happy with Trump. The establishment media still hates him because he's dissed them so much. But the establish "presstitutes" will get their orders pretty soon and they will start singing the praises of Trump. They've already started following his performances in Saudi Arabia and Israel. It was reported that he looked "presidential."

Why wait for impeachment when we have the #25thAmendment?

Donald Trump was denied political asylum in Israel, according to their foreign ministry spokesman. "After he became careless with intelligence, how could we keep him? Our code name for him is "The Apprentice"." It was later obvious in his trip his desperate attempt for asylum at the Vatican would fail. The Pope-mobile, sent to his hotel to bring him to the Vatican, ran out of gas part way to St. Peter's. Perhaps he will have more luck with his friends in Sicily.

Good one, sense! I think his best bet would be Deterpe in Philippines. They can share cigars together following a delicious repast of Haunch of Drug User, with Chinese Ambassador's Cheeks on the side.

Another possible hellhole he might crawl into would be the Consulate in Benghazi, close enough for invites from Marine LePen, since his relationship with Melania seems to be on the rocks.

Yeah, Melania won't even hold his hand now. As to Trump's lasting power. he's only good for a month or two.

Well Melania knows Trump's lasting power, she won't even hold hands with him, LOL! What is it with white Christian Americans that they need to be so misogynistic, so hateful and bigoted, so damn xenophobic that it will be a couple of hundred years for all the harm they have done to America to wash out.
