Amy Goodman writes: "The workers of Egypt were instrumental in bringing down the regime there, in a remarkable coalition with Egypt's youth. In the streets of Madison, under the Capitol dome, another demonstration of solidarity is taking place. Wisconsin's workers have agreed to pay and pension concessions, but will not give up their right to collective bargaining. At this point, Walker would be wise to negotiate. It is not a good season to be a tyrant."

A note of caution regarding our comment sections:

For months a stream of media reports have warned of coordinated propaganda efforts targeting political websites based in the U.S., particularly in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

We too were alarmed at the patterns we were, and still are, seeing. It is clear that the provocateurs are far more savvy, disciplined, and purposeful than anything we have ever experienced before.

It is also clear that we still have elements of the same activity in our article discussion forums at this time.

We have hosted and encouraged reader expression since the turn of the century. The comments of our readers are the most vibrant, best-used interactive feature at Reader Supported News. Accordingly, we are strongly resistant to interrupting those services.

It is, however, important to note that in all likelihood hardened operatives are attempting to shape the dialog our community seeks to engage in.

Adapt and overcome.

Gil Scott Heron sang (rapped?) that the Revolution Will Not be Televised back in the early 80's (I think). He was right. Is the mainstream media connecting the dots? Maybe they see it, but for some corporate reason, they are not reporting it. The events in WI are barely, after 1 week, making page 2 of the so-called left wing Boston Globe?

Where is it in your newspapers. How much air time do the majors give it, how much analysis?

The Revolution is NOT Being Televised!

The Revolution is not being televised... yeah, but it is being tweeted and information is relayed on the internet. I believe we are witnessing the failure of the capitalist economic system, and the obvious failure of authoritarian dictatorial leadership. Some other attendant aspects of this are multiple anti-authoritar ian movements across the globe specific to local nations. The critical mass of Average Joes rising up and asking "what about me and my family?" This is not unlike the concept of the hundredth monkey effect, wherein one monkey learns a new skill, it takes time for the mass of monkeys to also learn the new skill. This concept will takes a critical mass of the spreading consciousness/a wareness within a social group before REAL CHANGE takes place within said social group. This particular group is HUMANITY coming to the realization that WEALTH concentrated in the hands of few does not benefit your Average Joe. I believe that this is CONSCIOUSNESS EXPANSION, so to speak.

The "news"? More, the "infotainment" industry is only now beginning to report the protests against the injustice in Wisconsin. Obviously, their corporate string pullers would rather people stay ignorant about what is being done to them. Better to ply their audiences with soap opera drama about celebrities than give them anything of import.
I don't watch Fox, so I would imagine they are covering it from Murdoch's own fascist angle.
