Occupy Wall Street: Take the Bull by the Horns your social media marketing partner

A note of caution regarding our comment sections:

For months a stream of media reports have warned of coordinated propaganda efforts targeting political websites based in the U.S., particularly in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

We too were alarmed at the patterns we were, and still are, seeing. It is clear that the provocateurs are far more savvy, disciplined, and purposeful than anything we have ever experienced before.

It is also clear that we still have elements of the same activity in our article discussion forums at this time.

We have hosted and encouraged reader expression since the turn of the century. The comments of our readers are the most vibrant, best-used interactive feature at Reader Supported News. Accordingly, we are strongly resistant to interrupting those services.

It is, however, important to note that in all likelihood hardened operatives are attempting to shape the dialog our community seeks to engage in.

Adapt and overcome.

That is a very good and very fair essay about the mayor. "OWS" is about the system and the 1% wants to keep the system and many of the 99% do not know yet what the "system" is that the 1% is protecting. At some point in time the 99% will understand that the "system" the 1% is protecting is the monetary system. It is the system where the government prints money and gives it to banks who end it to the 1% to make more money or lend it to the government at interest paid from taxes on the citizens. That is the "system" that needs to be changed.

Absolutely correect. The monetary system is dead. Replacing it with a credit system is vital. reinstating the Glass-Steagal to stop the reckless gambling spree by the banksters is the first step-passage of HR1489 that has a growing list of supporter must be rammed through before our time runs out. It is likely that Obama is opposed to it to defend his 1% campaign contributors.

Mayor Boomberg has taken a rather healthy crap on his own legacy. He'll only be remembered as the mayor who created his own version of Kristallnacht in Zuccotti Park.
Shame on him!

I guess the next thing for the Mayor is to have a terrorist alarm to try an get some creditability back to his legacy.

be careful what you wish for... the next step will be to brand OWS a terrorist organization, to shut down their funding, to arrest their "leaders" and ship them off to an offshore "detention" center where they can learn that 2+2+=5 (after that, of course, they'll be qualified to work at citibank, BoA, etc)

The more these people, who are in charge talk, the more I know they are some of the luckiest stupid people in the world.
