Report begins: "What you see above isn't a rural gravel road. It's a Louisiana waterway, its surface completely covered with dead sea life - a mishmash of species of fish, crabs, stingray and eel. New Orleans CBS affiliate WWL-TV reports that even a whale was found dead in the area."

A note of caution regarding our comment sections:

For months a stream of media reports have warned of coordinated propaganda efforts targeting political websites based in the U.S., particularly in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

We too were alarmed at the patterns we were, and still are, seeing. It is clear that the provocateurs are far more savvy, disciplined, and purposeful than anything we have ever experienced before.

It is also clear that we still have elements of the same activity in our article discussion forums at this time.

We have hosted and encouraged reader expression since the turn of the century. The comments of our readers are the most vibrant, best-used interactive feature at Reader Supported News. Accordingly, we are strongly resistant to interrupting those services.

It is, however, important to note that in all likelihood hardened operatives are attempting to shape the dialog our community seeks to engage in.

Adapt and overcome.

The water does flow downstream, of course. I say this but acknowledge that there are serious aerosols from the dispersant use that can travel a long way air borne.

A waste of lives completely unbelievable unless you know what BP has done in Louisiana. There is no financial compensation for this amount of die-off, even if they accepted it as their responsibility.

And Sizzler and Red Lobster out here in sunny California are perpetually advertising "All you can eat Shrimp". Golden Corral restaurant has an ad that say's "all you can eat seafood" for less than "ten bucks." I personally am buying up more stock in "Soylent Green." But I do confess to "hating" the idea of having to get a "tea bagger" out from between my teeth with a toothpick. BP stands for "Bonus Points." That's what the President earned when he said the Gulf was okie dokie.

This is an example of the toxic "cleanup" chemical "cure" being worse than the "disease" (The original oil spill)

It actually DOES look like a gravel road, water so polluted, so crammed full of dead, you could walk on it WITHOUT being a religious figure!
