Anger as Asian Man Violently Removed From United Flight

By Al Jazeera

10 April 17

Clips posted online show man being dragged off by a United Airlines plane in the US after flight was overbooked.

ideos posted to social media showing security guards violently removing an Asian man from a United Airlines flight in the United States have sparked outrage.

The incident took place on Sunday, before the departure of Flight 3411 from Chicago's O'Hare Airport to Louisville.

Several clips posted online by fellow passengers show the officers forcibly removing the man by pulling him out of his seat and dragging him by his arms down the aircraft's aisle.

Passengers said the man, who can be heard screaming, was injured as he was being dragged off, with blood coming out of his mouth.

Passengers said on social media that United had overbooked the flight and wanted four passengers to give up their seats to make way for airline employees.

When no one volunteered, four passengers were selected and asked to leave.

The man in the video, who was one of the four, said he was a doctor and needed to see patients the next day, according to passengers' online statements.

After being violently ejected, the man can be seen returning on the plane, though with blood on his face. In an another video, clearly distressed, he can be heard repeating "I have to get home".

The incident caused an outcry on social media, with some calling for a United Airlines boycott, while many pointed out that it was an Asian man who was the victim of the violent removal. Some also expressed outrage that other passengers did not stop the officers from abusing him.

After the outcry, United said in a series of tweets: "Flight 3411 from Chicago to Louisville was overbooked. After our team looked for volunteers, one customer refused to leave the aircraft voluntarily and law enforcement was asked to come to the gate.

"We apologize for the overbook situation. Further details on the removed customer should be directed to authorities." your social media marketing partner

A note of caution regarding our comment sections:

For months a stream of media reports have warned of coordinated propaganda efforts targeting political websites based in the U.S., particularly in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

We too were alarmed at the patterns we were, and still are, seeing. It is clear that the provocateurs are far more savvy, disciplined, and purposeful than anything we have ever experienced before.

It is also clear that we still have elements of the same activity in our article discussion forums at this time.

We have hosted and encouraged reader expression since the turn of the century. The comments of our readers are the most vibrant, best-used interactive feature at Reader Supported News. Accordingly, we are strongly resistant to interrupting those services.

It is, however, important to note that in all likelihood hardened operatives are attempting to shape the dialog our community seeks to engage in.

Adapt and overcome.

Other news stories show the poor man's blood on the floor of the plane and the man walking back to the rear of the plane with blood all over his face. We're so lucky that there were other passengers willing to record this.

I think I'll fly SW next time. I'm an easy bleeder.

I saw this on CNN. All I could think of why couldn't this have happened to me, it's like winning the lottery. I hope that man gets millions of dollars from United. I sure hope the boycott of United sends a message, and the cop needs to be fired and prosecuted. That's just outrageous.

This is completely unacceptable. We all need to write a strongly worded email to UA, telling them what we think of their arrogant, violent and bigoted behavior. They mud think they are Trump.

I read about this unconscionable and inexcusable treatment of this doctor on another forum, and I'm not any less outraged by the incident than I was when I first heard about it. The following is what I wrote, among other things, about the matter in the comments section of that other website:

"United Airlines will undoubtedly get a "corporate-welf are" bailout from the U.S. government to make up for its loss(es), including for paying the court damages or out-of-court settlement payment for the brutal police state removal of the doctor from the plane. So much for "America" being anything but "Amerika" anymore, and now fast and increasingly becoming a "Fourth Reich" totalitarian militarized fascist state...

"That doctor, if he's smart, which he undoubtedly is, will likely never fly again, or at least never fly with United again. And the smarter of the passengers of that plane who aren't brainwashed and don't blindly bow down to government, and who witnessed the brutality carried out against that doctor, will likely never fly United again, or very rarely, or never fly again at all. These airlines have to be receiving federal government bailout "corporate-welf are" for all of the increasing losses they've no doubt taken since 9-11 and this increasing officiousness and brutality. So much for liberty and freedom, and so much for "the land of the free and the home of the brave"."

I also responded to those who defended the airline's action(s), as follows:

"Most "Americans" these days don't "get", and/or don't even know, the Constitution, which is the SUPREME law of the the land! And most of them certainly don't stand up for it, even though it is the DUTY of EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN to do so! What a now un-free country we're becoming. Mass-insanity has taken over, and further madness is continuing to take over, on steroids! The U.S. a free country?! My arse!! If some goons can seize us when we haven't done anything wrong, then the Fourth Amendment might as well not exist; and, anymore, it's like it doesn't. WE, NONE OF US, IS REQUIRED TO BOW DOWN AND BLINDLY DO ANYTHING WE'RE TOLD!! WE HAVE, AS THIS DOCTOR DID, EVERY RIGHT TO RESIST IT!! In fact, it's not just a right to resist such police state tactics, it is our DUTY to do so under the U.S. Constitution!! If we don't stand up for our supreme law(s) [aka, RIGHTS] of the land, then we get a police state!!

But the powers-that-be have most "Amerikans" so dumbed-down and brainwashed that they supposedly "have to" blindly bow down to authority, that since most of them do so, the police state has been expanding, and continues to expand, by leaps and bounds. And that brainwashed majority actually believes that the now-minority who don't blindly bow down, like the doctor in this situation, are supposedly the ones who are "out of line". I'll bet that the majority of the observing passengers of that plane falsely believe that the doctor "deserved what he got". That's what we've come to in this country, where most "Amerikans" don't understand liberty and freedom anymore, and don't understand the dire danger that ensues if we don't stand up for freedom and liberty, and we voluntarily bow down to tyranny and tyrannical, unconstitutiona l "laws". Now we're seeing the results in increasing totalitarianism , brutality and repression all over the country, every day; but most "Amerikans", because they don't look it up, don't even know it's happening. Ignorance is NOT bliss!

As a related example, if the cops don't have probable cause for you to get out of your vehicle when they pull you over at the side of the highway, then don't get out of your vehicle, period. If they break the window and pull you out, or shoot you, they are violating the law and your rights. The courts are making more and more unconstitutiona l rulings, all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court, illegally overturning our innate, inalienable rights, and criminalizing the exercise of those rights, thus making those new rulings null and void under the Constitution; but if there is no true probable cause such as a warrant out for your arrest, then the police have no legal right(s) to order you out of your vehicle.

Your vehicle is your personal property, and it's kind of like if you're in your home. They cannot legally order you out of your home without a court order, therefore they can't legally order you out of your vehicle. But, today, most cops are "legalized" criminals who can supposedly do, and get away with, whatever they want. That is what the U.S. has come to, and is rapidly increasingly coming to. Orwell's "1984" in real life, and on steroids. Everything is being criminalized, including the exercise of our inalienable, innate rights like we supposedly "don't have them anymore", everything we do and say is being monitored and recorded, and we all supposedly have to bow down to our "overlords" without question and/or exception; thus, we are being turned into slaves and/or serfs, the opposite of Truly Free. But, "Give me liberty or give me death!" Because a "life" 'lived' without True Liberty and Freedom is a "life" not worth living anyway!

By a similar token, your body is your home, wherever you are. Your "castle" that cannot legally be violated without probable cause. Since this doctor had a legitimate ticket, he was already boarded, and he had done absolutely nothing illegal, there was no probable cause to forcefully remove him from the plane, lottery or no lottery. And, in forcefully removing him from the plane without probable cause, the authorities invaded and violated him, his person, his property, his body and his privacy, as well as perpetrated assault and battery, kidnapping, false arrest, terrorism, torture, and cruel, inhuman(e) and unusual punishment against him, physically and psychologically injuring and harming him, and causing him pain and suffering, without just cause; and/or whatever else applied(/s).

Most so-called "Americans" today are "good little slaves". Their mantra is, bow down without question, the heck with rights. Just be good little unquestioning slaves. No matter how unconstitutiona l and/or unrighteous the laws are that supposedly "require" you to do whatever, just do what you're told. That's how we got to where we are today, with an increasingly fascist police state, and how it's getting worse and worse every day. But willful, and un-American and anti-American, idiots and morons will bow down like the pacified prisoners going to, or already at, the concentration camps, who voluntarily went to their deaths like good little cattle.

They have drunk too much fluoride, etc., and been brainwashed. And, because of them, and all "Americans" like them, they are some of those primarily responsible for the U.S. and the other Western countries being turned into totalitarian police states. But they don't "get" it, and they won't "get" it, because they're too far gone in their brainwashing. According to slave cretins like them, the state is the state; and, no matter what, no matter how officious and totalitarian they become, we should still just do what we're told by the government, no matter what. And no matter how much I try to show willful idiots and morons like them how anti-American and un-American their willfully bowing down is, they won't "get" how they are un-American and anti-American thereby. There's no reasoning with such willing slaves.

Room for a tremendous, multi-charge lawsuit here. The physician had a ticket; the problem was United Airline’s, not his. I note this was not an overbooked flight, but a sleazy attempt to add employees to an already-full flight: so this is not a ticket contract issue, but clearly a management problem. No one can offend & be subject to violent arrest merely by being the object of a random computer selection: that is utterly lawless. The police had absolutely no occasion to act violently, or even beginning to act without consulting the doctor before acting. & as to Munoz comment that ‘the man dragged off the plane had ignored requests by crew members to leave and became "disruptive and belligerent,”’: how surprising! the more so as the passenger was a physician on a tight work schedule who had every right to see his ticket honoured. Police & United Airlines are wholly at fault.

Now that we know this can happen in the Land of the Free, let's make it the Home of the Brave. If it happens in front of us, we should get up out of our seats and stop it.

List of "employees" who should lose their jobs over this incident:

United-Continental CEO Oscar Munoz (and no g*ddamn golden parachute!)

United's manager at O'hare

United's gate agents for this flight

The flight attendants & flight crew

The 4 employees who were in Chicago when they supposed to be in Louisville.

And don't forget the "security" and/or local police officer(s) who brutalized this INNOCENT man.

We conveniently forget that this kind of stuff almost never, if ever, happened. But now we have a police state where everything supposedly goes, where we can be oppressed and repressed with the consent of virtually everyone in government, and almost all, totally brainwashed and enslaved, "Amerikans".

I can hear them saying, "But there's 'terrorism' that we have to fight, so we've got to give up our liberty(ies) and freedom(s) in order to 'protect' us and keep us 'safe'!" That's how far gone most Americans are. Twenty years ago, before 9-11, the powers-that-be wouldn't have been able to get away with "raping" us at the airports going through security. There would have been a mass outcry against it by the American people. But now, most "Amerikans" pony up to it and accept it like it's as "normal" as breathing the air. It's madness!!!!! Willful, and/or willing, (mass-) madness!!!!!

Our True Americanism has been, slowly but surely for decades and generations, and particularly since 9-11, been intentionally conditioned and acclimated out of us! We no longer fight back! By and large, most of us no longer stand up for liberty and freedom! Heck, most of us think it's "perfectly fine" to not fight for liberty and freedom, and to voluntarily let our inalienable (CANNOT BE TAKEN AWAY, AND/OR SEPARATED, FROM US) freedom, liberty and rights be eviscerated! Insane!!!!!
