fire at a Planned Parenthood facility Friday was determined to be caused by arson, authorities said.
Pullman, Wash., fire investigator Rich Drago said arson led to the 3:30 a.m. fire at the clinic, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
Drago said Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agents were called in to examine. The fire caused significant structural damage, setting off multiple alarms in the middle of the night.
The clinic was the site of an anti-abortion protest earlier in the summer.
�The fire and corresponding damage at our Pullman Health Center is tragic, although we are immensely gratified no one was on site or injured,� said Tanya Riordan, vice president for community outreach at Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and Northern Idaho.
The facility is expected to be closed for at least a month, the report said.
