CNN's Pro-Trump Commentator Jason Miller Exits After Abortion Pill Dosing Accusations

Miller was accused in a legal filing of secretly giving an abortion pill to a former lover

ro-Trump CNN political commentator Jason Miller announced Saturday that he has “decided to step away” from the network after a recent accusation in a legal filing that he slipped abortion pills to a former lover without her knowledge.

“I have decided to step away from my role as a Political Commentator at CNN to focus on clearing my name and fighting the false and defamatory accusations made against me,” he said in a statement on his Twitter account.

“To be clear, none of this is is in any way true,” he said of the accusations which surfaced this week after a Sept. 14 legal filing in a custody dispute with his ex-lover A.J. Delgado over their child. “That doesn’t matter however in the current court of public opinion, where fraudulent statements and a lack of factual support rule the day as long as it fits into a tweet.”

Reps for CNN confirmed that Miller is “no longer with CNN” but offered no further comment.

On Friday, Splinter reported that the child custody fight between Miller and ex-lover A.J. Delgado took a nasty turn after Delgado’s legal team filed legal papers on Sept. 14 accusing Miller of impregnating an unnamed woman he met at an Orlando strip club and slipping her an abortion pill without her knowledge.

“Shortly thereafter, according to Joe Doe, Mr. Miller visited her at her apartment with a Smoothie beverage. Unbeknownst to Jane Doe, the Smoothie contained an abortion bill. [sic] The pill induced an abortion, and Jane Doe wound up in a hospital emergency room, bleeding heavily and nearly went into a coma. The unborn child died,” the filing read.

“Jane Doe herself was hospitalized for two days, the abortion pill possibly reacting with potential street drugs in her system at the time she drank the Smoothie,” the document said.

“Upon leaving the hospital, a rightly enraged Jane Doe contacted the staffers of local politicians with whom Mr. Miller had been in attendance at Rachel’s the night they met. Mr. Miller then, in a panic, attempted to have Jane Doe sign a non-disclosure agreement (‘NDA’), presumably in exchange for a sum of money,” the document added.

In a lengthy statement published on Twitter, Miller categorically denied the allegations, questioned Delgado’s credibility and threatened legal action against Splinter for publishing the story.

There is no validity to the false accusations made in the document Arlene “AJ” Delgado filed herself, without an attorney. This “story,” replete with assumptions, misstatements and fraudulent statements was wrongfully published by the gossip blog Splinter despite the obviousness of its falsity and lack of factual support. Splinter also failed to do anything to corroborate the accuracy of Ms. Delgado’s defamatory accusations, which have already been disproven by at least one reporter whom Ms. Delgado attempted to involve in her continuous attempts to smear me. Ms. Delgado was previously subject to a five-year restraining order for cyberstalking. The family court Judge involved in our case in Miami-Dade Circuit Court recently raised serious issues surrounding Ms. Delgado’s emotional and mental health. Any reporter wanting the facts about this can contact me directly. I will clear my name in this matter and seek to hold Ms. Delgado, Splinter and anyone else involved in spreading these lies legally accountable.

Miller, who served as chief spokesman for Trump’s 2016 campaign and transition and has served as a CNN commentator since last year, did not immediately respond to requests for additional comment.

Online reaction was swift, with many calling for CNN to drop Miller as a commentator.

“The best place for Jason Miller to hide from reporters’ questions about how many women he had extramarital affairs with and got pregnant while working on the Trump campaign is @CNN where he is paid to defend everything Trump says and does,” MSNBC anchor Lawrence O’Donnell said in a tweet slamming the network.
