Less than one week after their generators were confiscated, Occupy Wall Street protesters are using bicycles to generate power for their encampment in Lower Manhattan's Zuccotti Park.

Occupy Wall Street Goes Green

Occupy Wall Street: Take the Bull by the Horns your social media marketing partner

We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.

General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.

Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

Ironic that a protest camp like this works better and more collectively than our established cities. Should be a model for how to address urban homelessness, if our political leaders gave a crap about the homeless...

This is so coo. and s hows how easy it is to be green. If people with little resources in a temporary residential situation can do this, what is the problem with town, cities big and small. I know that many are making headway - but for example, the new housing that is going up in SF in the old Mission Bay area are just these high rises, no doubt high tech, but not green, friendly, community making housing that green architects know how to make. A shame. All that investment... and a missed opportunity for the residents, for the City, for the climate.

I just love this movement! Everyday its another cool, inclusive idea. Loved the street vendor idea and being able to donate to them as well to provide different types of food to our front lines! Keep up the great work OWS!

This is great stuff. Needs to be kept going right through the cold months. OWS is leading the way to end corporate greed and political corruption and being green in the process.
