One of the memorable moments of my life_ walking up a hill w Granny D to open the Kerry '04 campaign headquarters in Plymouth, NH. Needless to say, Granny D left us in the dust in so many ways, physically and in terms of determination and political grace. May her legacy fall on our NH shoulders. Granny D, you will be missed. I'm proud to live in the same state as this true American heroine. She represents the best of New Hampshire and the United States. We can all learn from her.

Five memorable days walking with Granny D along the C&O Canal and into Washington, D.C. on Feb 29, 2000....I'd always figured on walking across the USA, but thought I'd need to do it by the time I'm 70. As I told her, "You raised the bar for me."

She will be continuing her great work wherever she is....I love you, Granny D! Thank you so very much!
