With the entry of Bernie Sanders and now Martin O’Malley into the Democratic race, everyone predicted that Hillary would soon start having to lay out her positions on various governmental questions. And why not, we are already deep into the Right’s favorite Clinton subject, the money that she and Bill get paid for their speaking engagements.

The whole thing sounds like sour grapes. Here are these two people from Arkansas who are now making millions just because people want them to appear at various functions and they are such celebrity whores that they will pay anything to get the former President and First lady. This is not stealing from the poor, this is not making money by destroying the atmosphere or shipping jobs overseas, this is fleecing the rich and a big percentage of it goes to the Clinton Initiative which does nothing but good.

This is not Hillary and Bill sitting around clipping coupons or shorting stock, this is them getting their asses off the sofa and actually going out and working for the money they get. Sure they’re overpaid but that’s on the celebrity whores who are willing to overpay them just to shake their hands. These suckers would probably pay even more if the Clinton’s had the brass to ask for it.

So let’s put this particular complaint to rest. Most filthy rich people don’t actually work for their money. Hillary and Bill are very busy working for theirs. It’s not like they inherited this money. They are working for it and to be honest if someone offered their biggest critics the same amount of money to give a speech, they’d jump at it. So let’s put the bullshit aside and talk reality. People are dumb enough to pay out these huge fees, why shouldn’t the Clintons take them. There isn’t any legitimate reason not to.

There has been a lot of noise lately about something that Hillary Clinton did while Secretary of State. It is exactly the kind of thing that gets Republican’s panties all in a bunch but it is also the kind of bullshit that has no real world significance, but which; because they have no platform of their own, the GOP types love to puff up.

It seems that back in 2009, while Secretary of State, Hillary did a full out, balls to the wall, push on behalf of Boeing Aircraft with the Russian Government. She wanted the Ruskies to buy Boeing planes for their commercial air fleet. Partly because of this pitch Boeing landed a $3.7 billion contract.

By not rejoicing that an American company got this contract instead of a foreign one, Rep. Sean Duffy, a Wisconsin Republican, displayed his stupidity and by denouncing the whole deal because after it was finished Boeing made, according to him, a $900 million gift to the Clinton Initiative, he just hammered home what a dumb SOB he really is.

Sure it’s a quid pro quo, but let’s look at the facts. The gift was $900 thousand, not $900 million and it went to the Initiative, from which the Clinton’s receive no money, from which all monies go to charitable causes. So what is Duffy, a former reality TV actor, whining about? Hillary did an American company, Boeing, a good turn by boosting their product, that in turn helped the American economy and as a grateful recipient of a favor from the Secretary, Boeing donated money to Hillary’s favorite charity. Isn’t that the way normal, legal, honest business is done in this country? Hillary did her job and Boeing did the right thing. On the other hand, Sean Duffy made himself look like the asshole he really is.

Maybe I have been around too many grifters and con men in my life but, Bill Clinton, who can charm the shit off the sidewalk, has put together, what is arguably, the greatest force for good on the planet. Maybe he has done it by implying that if you give him money you will join the IN CROWD. Isn’t that how most charities raise money?

Who cares that some of the money is coming from bad people or nations. That’s one if the Initiatives strongest points. That money will be used for good instead of evil.

And what about the fees? Are Bill and Hillary supposed to ask for less? Would you? Would Sean Duffy? If someone was dumb enough to pay me a half a million to make a speech for them, the only question I’d have, would be - how long do you want it?

Neither Bill not Hillary were born with daddy’s money in their mouths. They have earned everything they got and more power to them. Who cares what it looks like? Let’s deal with what it really is. Hillary’s programs are better for the American people than anything that will come forth from the Republican party, as long as it is led by the skanks who currently head it up. I don’t see anyone complaining that Jeb Bush is a multi-millionaire because of the carried interest his family takes advantage of. Or that the Koch’s or Trump would have a pot to piss in if it weren’t for their daddies giving them millions.

Bill & Hillary, are the epitome of the American dream, just like Barak Obama. There’s nothing inauthentic about them. They are exactly what you see and they have gotten there without the help of rich parents. They all have triumphed on their own and that, for those of you who don’t get it, is the American dream, live and in color. That’s what the Right doesn’t want you to see. That’s why they spend all their time attacking these people who are trying to make a better America.

The Right is trying to get richer, trying to keep everyone who doesn’t think like them down, trying desperately to maintain the status quo, because that is where they are secure. They want to look at white faces, hire workers who are subservient to their will, force the rest of us to worship a they do, even as they force us all into little boxes that are constructed according to religious bigot’s interpretations of what God has supposedly said.

Hillary’s message is pretty simple and it will be pretty much the same as the messages of Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley. It will even be echoed by a couple of the Republican’s but they will never survive the primaries. It’s create more jobs, level the fiscal playing field, help the environment, educate our kids and care for those that need it.

The Right has lied about and maligned the honesty of the Clintons, lied about ad maligned the heritage of Barak Obama, and they’ve done it all for one reason. They don’t have a better plan for the country, so they must lie about everything else in order to have any chance to win an election. And you can take that to the bank.
