Walker and Republican's in Wisconsin at It Again

On the very last day of the most backward, cruel, and wrong legislative session in Wisconsin history, the Republicans have scheduled, not one. Not two. But three more votes to attack women's health.

Governor Walker and the Wisconsin Republicans have spent the entire legislative session taking away the rights of women. They defunded Planned Parenthood and took away women's access to cancer screenings and birth control. They repealed the state's Pay Equity law and took away women's right to equal pay for equal work. And they even tried to legally define "personhood" from the moment of fertilization and take away a woman's right to safe legal abortion in Wisconsin, no exceptions.

Next week Tuesday, March 13, the Assembly Republicans will be voting on a bill to further restrict access to abortion and interfere in the doctor-patient relationship. They will be voting to take away private insurance coverage for abortion care. And they will be voting to end comprehensive sex education in Wisconsin.

Enough is enough. We're mad as hell and we will NOT be silent while Republicans vote yet again to pass laws taking away women's right to make our own health care decisions.

If you can't stand any more backwards legislation or outrageous decisions to play politics with women's health, join us in our fight to take back our health and rights. It's time again to rally, to take action, and to mobilize:

Women Watch, Women Rally, Women Vote: Mad As Hell Rally

Tuesday, March 13
12noon-1pm
State Capitol, Madison

Bring your friends, your signs, your pink t-shirts, & your voice!

Join us as we say NO to taking away access to birth control. Say no to denying access to lifesaving cancer screenings. Say no to taking away comprehensive sex education from Wisconsin youth. And as we say no to restricting access to abortion.

We're watching. We're taking action. And we're voting!

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support of Planned Parenthood and the women, men, and teens who rely on us to protect their rights to affordable health care. You are amazing.

Tanya Atkinson
Executive Director
Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin

P.S. Please help spread the word about Tuesday's rally on Facebook.
