How To End The Wars, II

Florida’s Peace Candidate, Basil E. Dalack, is seeking the Senate position that Marco Rubio has vacated. He asks the citizens of Florida to decide whether to vote for him (Dalack, not Rubio) by taking the following steps.

One: Go on-line and find out how many people around the world our armed forces have killed since September 14, 2001, the day that Congress authorized the President to kill anybody he decided needed to be killed. (The lowest estimate is 2,000,000).

Two: Go on-line and find out how many dollars have been spent to kill those millions of people. (Time Magazine published an estimate of 5 trillion as of 2011.)

Three: Decide whether the human-economic cost of killing (War) is too high for the American citizen to keep on paying: if your answer is “Yes”, then please support Dalack; if your answer is “No”, support somebody else.

Four: The initial support he hopes for is a contribution of $10 to the Committee To Elect Florida’s Peace Candidate, Basil E. Dalack, To The United States Senate at P.O. Box 3683, Tequesta, FL 33469, because he needs to pay the State of Florida $10,440 by June 24th, in order to have his name placed on the August 30, primary election ballot; and while he is able to come up with $440, he is not able to come up with the additional $10,000.

Contributions are required because he is unable to obtain the 119,316 petition signatures that would take the place of the $10,440. He cannot obtain those 119,316 signatures because he decided to seek office only a couple of weeks after his year-old electronic cry (please see: rsnorg.org/pm-section/22-22/30411-how-to-end-the-wars) to anti-war groups to found a Peace Party that would nominate Peace Candidates met with NO RESPOSE.

Dalack must also rely on each contributor to electronically tell other folks about sending $10 to Dalack and suggest that those folks do the same.
If $10,000 do not come in that would be the most accurate poll showing that the citizens of Florida want the killing to continue; if they do come in then the citizens will have indicated they believe that enough is enough.

Five: If the $10,000 do come in, and Dalack does get on the ballot, then he will issue a press release to his supporters saying: “Thank you for your contributions. You have done enough in this phase of our battle for Peace. Please do not send me any more money, because I will not be buying any commercial advertising; the only advertising will be from you asking each other to vote for Dalack in the August 30 Primary.”

Six: The next step would be voting for Dalack in the Primary election, and repeating the chain electronic transmissions with a new message: “I will vote for Dalack on August 30th, and I hope you will, too.” If enough of you ask one another to vote for Dalack, he will prevail in the Primary. This would revolutionize elections.

Nota Bene: ALL dollars sent to Dalack’s campaign that exceed the $10,000 he needs to file (and minimal petty cash items) will be sent to Doctors Without Borders to help them carry on their work for Peace.
