In the past, attempts to negotiate an end to strife or a dangerous situation involved either negotiations among victors like after the World Wars or one go-between like President Carter brokering a deal between Israel and its neighbors.

Something amazing has taken place, just by international politics without even a strong go-between the UN is removing dangerous chemicals from Syria and Iran agreeing at least temporarily not to rush toward nuclear fission, more tenuous is the planed negotiations toward peace talks between the more sober elements of both sides of the conflict in Syria.

Something brand new is being attempted. It is time for hope, even Worldwide Celebration.

A background change in climate is the new lull of hate between Europe, the US, China, and Russia, that is allowing the UN to function better. During World War II Germans tended to resemble rats in US movies, less then a generation ago Commies were monsters in the movie Red Dawn, all this hopefully is totally behind us.

Three possible next steps.

I, Attempting agreement to ban all outside military sales to any side in the Syrian War. This may or may not go along with the sober leaders among the waring factions in Syria agreeing tentatively to talk.

2, Making attempting bait a Holocaust through false information an international crime. While the systemically provoking porn flick segment “The Innocence of Mohammed” may not violate US laws. Falsely advertising in the Arab press that it was a film of praise isn't legal, nor was it legal to make false claims of 100 rich Jewish donors. Violating parole for someone claiming a false name for falsely claiming to be the director of a film is not enough. The film conspirators hoped for TV footage of a few Muslim young children cheering as they see a story of a porn actor killed similar to the way it inspired anti-Muslim militants to see a few young kids cheering as they watched footage of the Twin Towers falling. Instead moderates in the Muslim World felt it unfair that a US ambassador friendly to the Libyan people was killed, or a school girl shot in the head for insisting on being educated, without any extremists being inspired by the act.

3, Possible with the help of a new concession from Iran, expunging the fines for illegal trade with Iran or illegal bank transfers, some of this may already occurring. It seems in every case where the US fined a foreign bank on foreign soil for money laundering the bank was accused of two what the US considered illegal acts, transferring (money laundering) funds for Cuba and also transferring funds for Iran. If the bank could get its fine back for Iranian money it would put pressure on Washington to expunge fines relating to Cuba, maybe even to the point of requiring a US Security Council veto to stop it, something the US might with all the agreements going on be reluctant to do.

4, Please others add other third possible steps toward solving our problems that the world might attempt, while we start to dance in the streets. Let's start to dance in NY near the UN first or Philadelphia where I live at the Liberty Bell or the end of Market Street Schuylkill River Bridge where past demos received spontaneity quick beeps on the horn from many of those about to enter the expressway.

I may be a little ahead of reality in my joy of what has happened so far but not its uniqueness when compared to victors meeting to plan future peaceful resolution of conflicts or brokered agreements
