Greetings to Our Hillary Supporters

e have always had many Progressive readers, and many Democratic readers as well. Not surprising as our original concept was to build a “Blue-Green” coalition.

It’s now goofy season again and everyone is willing to die for their favorite candidate. That’s fine, there’s something inspiring about commitment. Just as well. The problem is the fistfights breaking out amongst our readers.

We are seeing a lot of new readers and commenters. That’s wonderful. What’s not so great is the abusive conduct being displayed by a few of our new guests. That’s not what we do here.

Here you find a forum where you can challenge the ideas and positions of veteran political analysts. That however necessarily requires grown-up behavior.

If you just want to “drop f-bombs and talk trash,” try YouTube. When you get over it come back.

Right now we have a few people making life miserable for everyone and actually limiting meaningful debate. We ask all of our reasonable commenters to report abusive conduct. Steps can be taken.

Full disclosure: Reader Supported News has formally endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders for President. More on that in a moment.

We understand that many of you are pulling for Secretary Hillary Clinton and truly believe in her. We welcome your arguments here and we will defend your right to make those arguments in this forum categorically.

We have endorsed Bernie Sanders because we believe that his commitment to meaningful change is far greater than that of Hillary Clinton or any other candidate running for President in this election cycle.

There’s an old adage that “a picture tells a thousand words.” The one below is portrait of everything that is wrong with the political process in America today. It truly speaks volumes. Hint: we won’t fix anything this way.

Here it is folks, now open for discussion. Have at it:
