If you regularly pose proudly in front of a swastika flag, you might be a Nazi loser.

If you refer to "non-whites"as the "dirt people,"you might be a Nazi loser.

If you are the lead singer in a bad racist punk band, you might be a Nazi loser.

If your response to the possible election of a black president is "stand and fight,"you might be a Nazi loser.

If your racist schlock punk album is titled "Violent Victory"and shows a "white arm punching a black man in the face,"you might be a Nazi loser.

If you are a recruiter at barbecues for the Hammerskins, you might be a Nazi loser.

If your online handle is "Jack Boot,"you might be a Nazi loser.

If you perform constantly at racial-extremist punk "concerts"you might be a Nazi loser.
When the other hardcore racists say of you "please do not think we are all like that,"you might be a Nazi loser.

When you hate to death innocent men and women because their skin color or dress or religion is different from yours, you might be a Nazi loser.

So that's easy. Three harder questions:

Should we really be selling guns so freely to known Nazi losers and to crazy people being reported as unstable by their psychiatrists?

Why is Pamela Geller, the leader of the campaign against the Manhattan Muslim community center, hanging around with Swedish Nazi losers?

Given the actual dangers of the far right in the US and Europe, shouldn't Likudniks be ashamed of themselves for a) calling people who merely object to the creeping colonization of the West Bank 'anti-Semites"or bigots and b) welcoming to Israel far right speakers who say things like 'the Qur'an is the new Mein Kampf' and who insincerely profess a new-found love of Israel?

Brux, thanks for the comment (twas not I that gave you the 1 thumbs down currently showing). I put the word fascist in quotes because in general i think it is one of those terms, like terrorism, that has become almost meaningless in the way it gets bandied about and applied to almost anything and everything "we" disagree with. In many ways, though in more coded language, i think that the likes of Bachman, Palin et al do exhibit the kind of anti-classism/e litism (often expressed as anti-intellecua lism such as Rush Limbaugh's latest rant against Obama going to an Ivy League school)to which you refer in the same way the Nazis did (though, like the Nazi's, once in power i would not expect them to do anything against the ruling economic elites). And, like the Nazi's (or the Italian Fascists) they represent a broad political movement that needs mass suppport (though not necessarily a majority) to come to power legally, through the electoral process (the Spanish were fascists too but they were more classic military coup than modern fascist electoral movement). And, despite their "rugged american individualist" rhetoric, their touting of "american exceptionalism" is in many ways akin to the kind of ultra-right nationalism that is also characteristic of classical fascism. Finally, i think they also exhibit the same kind of racial politics (again, though in much more coded language) as the Nazi's. I'm with ya all the way though re Bernie Sanders

Regina, this one i think is actually more complicated. The Nazi's in fact supported part time work for working mothers, child care etc., not because they were feminists of course but because in their own twisted ideology men and women "were equal" but had different spheres. The "left" on the other hand did not consider women who chose to stay at home and be mothers/housewi ves to be "productive workers" and said that women first had to become wage laborers before they could be organized as part of the proletariat...t his is why the German Housewives Union came to support the Nazis...there has been alot of great work done on the german women's movement by historians to show that women did not support the nazis (which they did in at least as large numbers as men) because they were "seduced" or "backwards" but because the nazis were always a mix of "backwards" reactionary thought mixed with "modern" "progressive" thought (e.g., because they thought that the medical profession was controlled by "jews" which simply profited off of people's illness the Nazis supported "preventive medicine", "nutrition", etc., such that the German society of alternative practitioners (forget their official name) also came to support the Nazis.

I was not defending or supporting the nazis in any way but as a student of german history and particularly of the nazis my comments are historically accurate. if you bother to read the extensive literature on the german womens' movement (both the left and right wing movements) you will see that i am just presenting facts...the german housewives union and the german alternative practitioners did support the nazis and the left did indeed not recognize housewives as members of the working class (because they did not consider housework work or productive labor)...so thumbs down away but that doesn't change the facts nor does it explain anything as to why you thumbs downed my comment.

Hell, the formation of the Soviet Union was one of the most unMarxian things ever. Marx said that the capitalist system was the greatest creator of material wealth, but that after a point it would fail in ensuring that the wealth would be distributed fairly to those who contributed, and that's where he predicted the "socialist revolution" would come. Nowhere did he suggest that you could just skip the capitalist step, as the communist states decided to try. So their collapse is more a vindication of Marx than his failure. And whether or not Marx' prediction of the workers' revolution overthrowing the capitalists turns out or not, his observation that the workers weren't getting a fair shake isn't anything the Tea Partiers don't believe. And the rightwingers jabbering about taking their country back and second amendment solutions aren't exactly disproving Marx' prediction of revolution, either.

It doesn't matter whether the term fascist or Nazi applies to the current Republican Party, what matters is what it does. Something the Republican Party clearly does not believe in is democracy. That is reaffirmed every day by some new law or proposed law to limit the number of voters or to create a sense of otherness among Americans, to divide us, distract us and allow its minority to control the rest of us. Look at the 60-vote Senate procedural rule and the determination to prevent, delay, and obstruct in every other way anything its political opposition tries to do, regardless of the merits of those things. When Republicans are in power they relentlessly push their agendas while complaining bitterly about any opposition at all. They turn back as many of the other party's legislative achievements as they can, effectively undoing the will of The People expressed in past elections that didn't go their way. And when they lose elections they absolutely refuse to accept the will of The People and do everything they can to limit the power The People placed in the hands of their political opposition. When it's understood that the Republican Party fundamentally does not believe in democracy, much of what it does becomes clear for the first time. Republicans of today do not believe that every citizen regardless of race, creed, religion, gender, age, or economic status should have equal votes. That is the definition of un-American. As the saying goes-"Hate Breeds Hate". That seems to be the general message being sent out to our youth. Especially the "music" that is so popular with the young people (especially males) are listening to, and living by these days. My step-son at age 22, after returning home from a Slayer concert, hung himself because the music's (if you call it that) messages are of only violence, anarchy, and desolation, not to mention desperation and hate. Kill cops, kill your parents, kill yourself, and while your at it, take everyone you can out with you. It wouldn't surprise me if the fascist, Tea party members, and probably the majority of the persons who run this country propagate. Oh and by the way, Mein Kampf was written by George Goebble, the REAL Jew hater who after Hitler read it, made Goebble his friend, counsler, and confidant. It's a pretty sad state of affairs that human beings, who have the gift of free will, choose to condem one another for excersizing it. Peace.

The culture of today is toxic, the TV of today is toxic, the food of today is toxic, the education of today is toxic ... it is so toxic that there is likely not going to be anyone smart enough or strong enough to even say no in the relatively near future. We have created a real abomination in terms of government and culture.

William Bjornson, I think you are right about distortion but you too distort.. Nazism revolved around the believe in Eugenics. That when one plants a garden one pulls our the smaller weaker plants and give plant food to the most hardy. That the Special Olympics and the statement The last shall be first” was an attack on nature. If one gets sick or hurt on the job they should just be fired. The first to be sent to the gas chambers were the disabled veterans. If Hitler could see the world now, he would be very unhappy but overjoyed to see those who feed the homeless punished. If he saw lawyers like Ed Frey get six month for sleeping on the street to show solidarity with the homeless Hitler's complaint would be that he wasn't gassed. I fear future events will make Hitler even more happy

I resent the fact that you would call any of this bigots bands "punk". What the hell does racist Oi! music have to do with punk rock? Get the facts straight before you publish discriminatory articles about a subculture which by in large has the least amount of racism than any other part of culture in general. Po-Culture or Sub... This list "You might be a nazi looser" is just childish and lacks substance,depth , and even good humor. Maybe you think red neck comedy is funny but most of us here do not.

That's silly, it's a fact, like referring to a Nazi band as a blues band because they play blues. No one should equate Nazi racism with punk rock in general because of this article.

It's not so much the Nazi losers but who are the undercover supporters of these nutcases?
What organizations, sugar-daddies or groups feed them money, promote their hatred, provide general support for these nutcases?
That would be a very interesting read.
