Olzen writes: "'ALEC is where our struggles merge,' proclaimed the ALEC Welcoming Committee, a broad coalition of environmental, student, labor, women's and radical groups organizing a week's worth of protest against the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) as it gathered for its annual summit at the Grand American Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah, last week."

Comments

We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.

General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.

Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

they hang the man, and whip the woman,
who steals the goose off the commons,
and leave the greater villain loose,
who steals the common from the goose.

Kind Sir?
Do you happen to know if killing a corporation is a "hangable" offense?

The Corporatocracy, being immune to all humane procedures, must be cut-out with prejudice before the host succumbs.

I do not doubt your assessment.
Corporations, are like a Medusa's head of vile serpents. We cannot eliminate only the one or two heads that threaten us in the most extreme fashion.
All corporations of every type and size must be eliminated NOW. De-chartered, criminalized and forever outlawed. They are the cancer of the planet.
Medusa must be beheaded.

This article makes the repubs desire to keep campaign contributors secret much cleared now.
They are afraid of the non elites power.
They realize the damage that can be done. It just has to be done then!

They don't want gmo's disclosed or wealthy individuals or corporations campaign contributions public knowledge.
They are too concerned with rooting out all of the fraudulent voters in this country.

I suppose you are correct. All the universe operates on the principle of equal and opposite reactions. The longer this goes on - the worse it will be.
