We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.

General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.

Sara Palin is a bad joke and a quitter, has been since day one. Couldn't even fulfill her obligations as Gov. of Alaska, why would anyone think she's ready for any public off. (Dog catcher included). If the mainstream media would ignore her, she would just fade away, for the betterment of mankind.

Palin reeks trash like a neon sign. From her F***-me high heels, skirts and winks for the males to the way she conducts herself. She has absolutely no class whatsoever and on top of it all she is an idiot. Her family is non-functional. Her oldest daughter gets pregnant in her house, goes to show how much attention those kids get, her son was given a choice of going into the service or prison, another daughter is clearly racist. She has home schooled her children, imagine how little they know and how misinformed they are? She is like a circus act, people watch because she is so outrageous. The only ones that take her seriously are those who should be on prozac and live in a rubber room.

I'd like to offer a slight modification to the above: "People watch SP for the same reasons a lot of them watch NASCAR, i.e., FOR THE SPECTACULAR CRASHES! What's NOT to enjoy about the spin-outs, rammings from behind & smoking tires & fiery multiple flips - especially when the debris flies all over the track & sometimes into the crowds of morons who actually pay money to attend!

One difference 'tho between "SP" & NASCAR is at least NASCAR drivers & teams are 'open' about whose $'s are supporting them! Just look at all the decals & patches on the cars, coveralls & helmets! "Ya just gotta luv" the good ol' boys + the hot brunette who drives the "EXTENZE" Indy racer! (wink! wink!)

Sarah Palin is a confirmed idiot, narcissistic to the max. President? Just picture her at some international forum, alongside (e.g.) Angela Merkel. She'd be wishing she were back with Katie Couric. She may belong in show biz, but not in any serious endeavor -- oops! I just insulted show biz, where there are many real talents, not just empty heads and loud mouths.

Palin has sealed her fate and image. Her "reality" show shares a mute husband and a wife who can't keep her mouth--and her constant overemphasis of the letter "r"--silent, thus blocking viewers from appreciating what was touted as the show's focus: Alaska. Instead it's Sarah's past, Sarah's view, Sarah's opinions, creating Sarah the Obnoxious Self Fanatic.

Makes sense that she is the star of the glassy-eyed Tea Party/Klan crowed. They are always won over by the direct, flirty, "poor me" manipulators, easy marks all.

This is nothing but a cheap, misinformed hustle.

Yes it is very true that Palin is an idiot, and that if elected President she would screw up both sides of the aisle. Most of us hope that she will never gain the post, but if those same forces that pushed Gore out of his win choose to support her she could win. Vote tampering is a tool that works in the USA.

Sarah Palin will NOT run for President. She is just stretching her 15 min. and enriching her bank account by keeping her presence in the limelight. Can anyone imagine her in a primary debate? If it's not written down, she's in trouble.

Sarah Palin is running out of steam. Her recent book-signing in Alaska drew only a few. Alaskans know who she really is, and they are serious people, tired of her games. Her show on TLC is all about her, not about Alaska. Her new book, America by Heart, is not selling well, and that is a sign that her star is definitely falling. She had nothing to offer but looks and an egocentric charm, and that always gets old. Don't let the door hit you on the way out Sarah.
