It is of course morally despicable for Robertson to blame a horrific earthquake on the supposed misdeeds of the distant ancestors of the current victims! But then, he blamed the September 11 atrocity on the United States, as well.

"There will be earthquakes in various places". The Bible also says, "What is wrong will be called right and what is right will be called wrong". Pat is telling it like it is. If Haiti did the grossly un-Godly thing that Robertson spoke of, then what has happened to them is because of it. We have a Jealous God and He has no problem admitting this to us. He put it in His Book. If Haiti went that far, it was spitting in Jehovah's Face and He is outraged every time He thinks about it. If you read Job, you know how God feels about being made a fool of. If you know Him, you know that. Jehovah also says, "Love thy enemy". If Haiti did this, they are our enemies. The way you show love for your enemy is to bring them the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is okay to give them food, shelter and what they need. But what they REALLY need is the Gospel. Haiti is completely destroyed. When they re-build, they must make certain that all the Voodoo rituals are not rebuilt also. PS: It might be a great thing if they change the name of the country. Haiti sounds too much like "hate" nd "hades". And as you also know, God changed Saul's name to Paul for his betterment.

Redphilly,

Not everyone is a Christian nor wants to be so deal with it! "What's wrong will be called right"? You mean like slavery? Racism? Getting on tv and manipulating people into sending you money? Lady, I'd say read some history instead of treating what a lowlife like Pat says as gospel; you'll be doing yourself and the world a favor but if you read this article it seems to have done you no good. Your ignorance is my enemy.
