She has a map of Democratic offices marked with crosshairs on her Facebook page, but she says the talk of violence is a media lie.

We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.

General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.

“She may believe that she's engaging in metaphor,”

It is extremely doubtful that Palin knows what a metaphor is.

Ms. Palin is emotionally challenged and intellectually bankrupt (which explains her appear to the likes of Robert Hudnall - below). She puts to the test H. L. Mencken's proposition that no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people." Alas, about 50% of the American people prove the Bard of Baltimore."

+1 # Guest 2010-03-29 21:10
I agree with you 100%. Probably never heard the word until it was used on TV the past few days. But some people can convince themselves to believe their own lies!

+27 # Guest 2010-03-29 05:17
Sarah Palin has now, officially, joined Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, et al., and should be ignored. The time spent pondering her actions and the reaction of the public to them, is a major waste. A television yakking head referred to her as a possible president with a leather jacket and spike heels. Something to be proud of, aye?

YES, Sarah should be SHUNNED. Complete news blackout.

Sarah is smart, cool, and I'd vote for her in a heartbeat. In addition, if she's encouraging folks to harass Democrats I would encourage her to continue. That bunch of baby killers shouldn't be allowed a moment of peace until they are sent packing in November.

+26 # Guest 2010-03-29 06:20
Robert, it's your type of irresponsible behavior and hate-speech that has driven the "crazies" on.....but wait, maybe you ARE one of the "crazies" from your post you seem to believe that all Democrats are baby killers. That comment is incorrect and biased. NOT all Democrats support abortion. While I absolutely support a woman's right to choose, I personally abhor abortion and you have no right to make that judgment about anyone you don't even know. If your Party were as concerned with the children who were already living, maybe your comment would hold more value. But it seems once the child is born, if it or its mother needs help you are ready to condemn them to "no" medical help, "no" financial aid, "no" education and "no" to everything that may help them grow healthy and become good citizens. Sorry, you are one of the Tea Party Terrorist Crazies in my view.

+6 # Guest 2010-03-29 13:48
YES!!!!!! exactly!!! support them once they're here dammit. you want them to live but live badly. and frankly if they're black or non-english speaking i bet you really don't care if they are aborted either.

reload is NOT a term of harrassment:
"(Military / Firearms, Gunnery, Ordnance & Artillery) to put ammunition into a firearm after having discharged it"

If only you (and Sarah) cared about people between birth and death (wars/death penalty and poverty) you'd have some believeability.

59,000 American nuns endorsed Obama's plan as "the REAL pro-life stance," now comes Glen to call the holy sisters "baby killers."

Many of Sarah's adherents are dangerously crazy.

Democratic offices marked with crosshairs on Sarah Palin's Facebook page is violent imagery, not to say not very Christian in tone. If, indeed, Ms. Palin is just using metaphors, why can't she choose some that are less violent, and way less ambiguous, not to say more responsible? Instead of "our arms are our votes," which could be construed to mean "armaments," there's always "we can vote with our feet."

The woman (Palin) is a A-hole, and a idiot combined, what else would you expect her to say.

-11 # Guest 2010-03-29 19:02
Ray, Why you say Sarah is an idiot. When you can't stand a smart woman, you resort to abusive words. Hey Ray, please mean something and grow up! Sarah is good for the country!

Okay mohan, let me paraphrase Ray in a way that might actually be more appealing to you.

"Palin is in inconsiderate communicator who is also poorly informed or ignorant of a great of topics of public importance."

As for your comments mohan, Palin couldn't pass my son's 7th grade civics class and I say this because his test covers topics that she has publicly been incorrect about before. I don't see any evidence that she is a smart woman and her book is so poorly written (yes, I've read it) and her positions so poorly supported by any dearth of research that I regard it as an intellectual invalid screed. And is she good for the country? I can't think of any major wolrd leader who is as poorly informed as she is. Not one. So how is she good for us?

Gotta love the Christians who talk about killing adults whose views are different than their's. If they could bring back the witch trials, they would.

Palin is a demagogue, stirring up hate. And hate speech and cross hairs is speech inciting to riot. We need to recognize her as being anti-America. Extremism in defense of stupidity is a vice.

I agree with you Roy. And may I switch your words around a bit...

"stupidity in defense of extremism is a vice."

Sarah,
Would the image of a moose with crosshairs mean that you wouldn't vote for moose anymore. How about a wolf with crosshairs...Sarah, you have made your point with violent rhetoric before. How can everybody be so wrong about pretty little Sarah. It's tough when the world is out to get you, huh?

+18 # Guest 2010-03-29 06:55
Sarah Palin knows exactly what she's doing and what she's saying. Karl Rove is the puppeteer and she is his puppet. She's stirring up the 'sludge' of this country, the people who will go kill someone because of race or religion or politics if they have any sort of encouragement. And the Republican party knows there's ALOT of people like this who have guns and can be whipped up into a frenzy pretty easily. Once the "sludge" does the dirty work, and hundreds of innocent people are killed and their lives ruined, they will be contained in some of the many concentration camps being restored at our expense at this very minute. (Go Google it!) Fox News and Glen Beck are the true terrorists, right here under our noses, with their constant pounding of hate and fear. The "sludge" has nothing better to do then to panic and react.
Sad times for our nation.

the personification of the modern American Right, idiotic, untruthful, hateful and anti-American to the core.

+12 # Guest 2010-03-29 08:04
Palin, many other Republicans, many Tea Baggers, Limblah, and Faux News personalities who have been inciting violence are more ignorant than stupid. Because they don't let reality affect their beliefs they often appear stupid or crazy. But they know exactly what they are doing. They are hoping to intimidate Democratic lawmakers (which usually is all too easy to do), while riling up their base for money and to shape the news. But most of all, they are praying someone will get assassinated. Of course they will deny this, but is there any reason to believe people who constantly lie? I repeat, they know what they are doing.

Palin is a bigot and demagogue, and all such bigots are dangerous. She is an attractive bigot to a large segment of the American electorate as shown by her viewers, her book sales and the crowds she generates, and therefore, doubly dangerous. Intelligence and logic don't work on her followers. Making fun of her does and asking questions about her questionable acts does. Descending to her level enables one to reach the people she attracts. Asking stupid questions seriously has merit, like, "What kind of pen is it best ti write stuff on your body" "can we get som Boston tea for our party? Etc,

+15 # Guest 2010-03-29 08:24
Has anyone ever accused Palin of being truthful, honest, ethical, moral or upright? I suspect not.

A major tactic of the big lie is to accuse those who point it out of being liars themselves.

Palin is funny and disgusting simultaneously. I hope she keeps urging the right wing cockroaches to come out of the woodwork. Sunlight is the best bleach for them.

+11 # Guest 2010-03-29 08:32
Smart or stupid, conniving or careless, Sarah Palin is not the issue. The issue is an American public that has been victimized by the major institutions in our country: government on every level, Wall Street, both political parties, banks that have foreclosed on their homes, industries that have shed them like obsolete equipment. They fear the future and the Tea Party movement gives them a sense of belonging and empowerment. The proto-fascist avatars of the Right, Palin included, have skillfully steered their rage towards Obama and the Democrats in Congress, who have been ineffectual at reminding these people how and why we've arrived at this desperate moment. The failure to point out that it was the past two administrations , Bush and Clinton, and the Republican corporation-loving Congress, that created and encouraged the factors that brought us all to this crisis, is Obama's major political blunder. It's time reality, not emotion, was given a chance, and bipartisanship be damned.

To Palin supporters who are either 100% underinformed or willingly uninformed - informed members of the electorate know that the Wicked Witch of the West turns many of you on with her sexy librarian look (but that nails-on-the-chalkboard voice - ugh), yet leadership is more than appearance. It involves commitment to the progress and success of the US, and promotion of a better life for all. Ex-Governor Palin quit her post to pursue a lucrative TV contract. She supported the Alaskan Secessionist Party. She has a twisted un-Christian religious bent cloaked in far-right evangelistic Christianity, and has proven that she has very little knowledge of the rest of the world, whom we are leading, BTW. She doesn't believe in climate change, she believes that the earth is a few thousand years old...on and on. Wake up, Palinites - and for God's sake sit down and read the decision of Roe v. Wade. It's as fair as it can be without encroaching on separation of Church and State. Obama has your back; trust.

Sarah and the tea baggers remind of little kids on the playground.
Na, na, na, na! We don't like you!

+3 # Guest 2010-03-29 14:51
Please give little kids some flack. Even tiny kids on the playground have more moral values, compassion, kindness toward one anther than these tea begging buzzards. They are bordering on the insane.

+7 # Guest 2010-03-29 14:45
Obviously, she is so stupid she doesn't realize that from the day she became known in politics everything she says or does IS an act of violence, racial hatred, lies and down right mean. And the real racist (those who do not have the courage to admit it) are using her for just that purpose. Perhaps one can feel sorry for her stupidity, I can't and won't.

It didn't take much to stir up the inner racial hatred half of America had for blacks and other minorities. It was simmering inside because once upon a time since the 1960's, America discovered it's conscious and became civilized once more, but then became so confident that it let it's guard down once again.

The amusing part is, these idiots can't win, ever. But then again, they are so stupid that they are willing to shed blood for a lost cause.

+7 # Guest 2010-03-29 18:44
Wow, what a boldfaced LIAR. People have it on video that those teabaggers spit on a black congressman, called one a n*****, and called a homosexual congressman a f*****. She cant say the video is a lie. And she knows full well that using gun terms will make all these gun-toting nuts go crazy.

Palin is one of the most dangerous women of our times. Her spewing of hate is catering to the lowest of our society. She is dangerous because she knows eaxactly the effect her rhetoric has on the populace. What has happened to the republican party. It used to be well respected, now, it is more like a dangerous buffoon. Because of her, I am starting to question McCain's mental health. Why does he support her and her hate, spewing, mouth?

-1 # Guest 2010-03-30 18:16
Palin, Beck and their gun totting followers should be locked up with Stone and his "church." They all believe that they can revise what they don't like by using lies and violence.
