We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.

General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.

Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

Just when you think things CAN'T get any worse...They DO! It seems our entire Government is seriously Broken and Corrupted in some way. WHERE do people go for simple JUSTICE? Our SCOTUS is filled with HARD Right-Wing Ideologues who favor Corporations over Individuals. Our SEC is in bed with the very entities they're supposed to regulate...Do we have ANY Hen Houses that are NOT overseen by Foxes?

It seems that our financial sector of our economy is immune to accountability and prosecution (by the SEC) for their misdeeds, and - from what we see here - the immunity was acquired in the Clinton era and possibly earlier. This crime-by-executive-order-&-legislation was supposed to have been brought to hell by the post-meltdown financial reform bull; however, legislators & political appointees who are beholden to special interests have systematically delayed or otherwise emasculated that bill, leaving open floodgates for still another meltdown.

When will these greedy SOB's be prosecuted and jailed? I plead this question with utmost sincerely . . . all the while knowing that the final answer is "Never".

States and Corporations started this phrase disgruntal employees years ago, it was written into the AT Will wording that gave Corporations and business the right to just get rid of an employees they just didn't like because that employee would not go along with lies and cover-ups! An easy way to just go on with the corruption that is present in daily business in this country! People with very good work records & ethics are just falling by the way side.

Are just going to be told about all these corruptions? Is there no government agency that can bring these crooks to a -- oh wait - is there even a court that can enforce the laws - oh wait - do we even have laws against these corruptions?

The answer is we have the ability to put the crooks away but we have NOBODY to in "government" to keep us a free nation with the RULE of LAW!

That was a long way of saying "they are all in bed together" and "we the people are no longer represented or protected from our own terrorists that we "elect" because the Supremes made it completely legal to let corporations (yes big $$) TO BUY OUR government and steal from "we the people" --- COME ON SCALIA/THOMAS/ROBERTS -- "we the people" DOES NOT EQUATE to "peersonHOOD"

These corporations (GE, Koch Brothers, Banks, etc) are HOODS (a 60's term for crooks)

The 2010 decision MUST be challenged and and then we must stand before that Supreme Court as ONE ("we the people) and INSIST they change that 2010 decision. So, Congress (Progressives, Independents, Dems) -- write a MOTION to the Supremes and "we the people" will vote you in in 2012 (maybe) -- if not (NO WAY)

Someday the mid/lower class will fight like the :rebels: did tonight!

IT'S TIME FOR A "REVOLUTION OF OUR OWN," AND THE GIANT REMOVAL OF "ALL WESTERN GOVERNMENTS," AND WALL STREET, AS THERE "ALL CORRUPTED." WE KNOW THAT BY THEIR LACK OF ACTION, AND BECAUSE "NOTHING GOOD EVER GETS DONE" (EVEN AFTER ALL THESE YEARS) THERE'S NO NEED FOR DISEASES LIKE LEPROSY OR EVEN CANCER AND THEIR CERTAINLY SHOULDN'T BE PEOPLE STARVING TO DEATH IN THIS DAY AND AGE, AND YET, IT STILL CONTINUES, THANKS ONLY TO OUR GOVERNMENTS FOR ALLOWING IT TO CONTINUE.

NOW I KNOW IT'S BEEN A BIT OFF TOPIC, BUT IT ALL COMES BACK TO "CORRUPTION AND OUR GOVERNMENTS INVOLVEMENT IN IT" AND WALL STREET IS MUCH TO BLAME AS WELL!

WE NEED TO START ALL OVER AGAIN WITH "ALL NEW PEOPLE" FOR GOVERNMENT, NO MORE "BUYING ELECTIONS" AND WHEN THEY "GO ROGUE, LIKE THEY ARE NOW" WE GET RID OF THEM RIGHT AWAY, ALONG WITH ALL THEIR BULL---- POLICIES AND LAWS THAT ONLY HELP TO PROTECT "ALL" OF THESE "WRONG DOERS,"
EVERYTHING OUR GOVERNMENTS TOUCHES TURNS CORRUPT AND THEY MUST BE STOPPED BEFORE THEY DO EVEN MORE DAMAGE TO OUR PLANET AND EVERYTHING ON IT, AFTER ALL, THEIR THE ONES WITH THE CONTROL AND POWER TO CHANGE IT FOR ALL THE BETTER! EVERYTHING OUR GOVERNMENTS DO NOW IS SOOOO TOP SECRET, AND THEIR BEING ABLE TO HIDE BEHIND THE "NATIONAL SECURITY EXCUSES" I FIND QUITE FRIGHTENING, AS WE HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHAT THEIR REALLY UP TO?

Wasn't it the WTC7 that contained the records for SEC investigations until it was conveniently demolished on 9/11/2001. Funny how these coincidences are so beneficial to the criminals who have destroyed our economy. I wonder if Obama is made a slave to the interests of Wealth. The inmates are in charge of the insane asylum and the MSM sucks up to them without question.

Doesn't anyone get really fed up with all the corruption and lying and stealing all in the name of greed. If a common man were to tak a thousand dollars and run with it he would spend years, probably decades in prison. These corporations and their masters do it routinely and nothing ever happens... I believe that only revolution, with blood flowing hip deep in the streets will end this debacle. Perhaps we should take Msr. Guillotine's really neat invention out and use it like a reverse Ocam's Razor. I believe that only the killing of the very rich and powerful and their monetary destruction and removal from all power and never let return to any positi9on will be the only answer.. You will never get out from under the boot of these despots without a fight to the death, and to me their deaths are the solution.

The problem with a rigged game is that the winners sooner or later get stupid. Don't ever forget that the economy needs energy to do useful work. You learned that in high school physics. Now, take a look at oil production over the last 5 years. Is the new way to make money and show growth reduced to card tricks? I don't find it useful nor do I think it is likely to work.
