As a card carrying liberial I can honestly say I have never "viciously" defended Margaret Sanger,the KKK, Nazi's or Glenn Beck.

Floyd, I don't get it. How can you claim the moral high ground when you lie about Margaret Sanger? Is it because you consider yourself exempt from the rules you seek to impose upon others with whom you disagree because you deem your point of view unassailable? What ever happened to the Golden Rule? Why don't you try practicing what you preach?

I love the characterizatio ns about people and religions. I have been a "Jewish sympathizer" from childhood and though I'm Baptist (there are more kinds of Baptists than just the Jerry Falwell kind), have no friends that hate Jews. I have Muslim friend and none of them hate Jews either. The extremists from any religion (Christian, Jewish, Muslim) are embarrassing to all of us as they are taken for speaking for all of us. I think we all want to be respected. When we are respectful to each other, then true dialogue, or "trialogue", or "multi-logue" can occur. I appreciate my religion being respected and I am respectful of yours.

US media will have to attain much greater substance and depth for the average misinformed American to begin to grasp the full concealed history, for instance the established collaberation between WW2 era Zionists and Nazis. Remember also, Wall Street financed and supported early Communism for business purposes and continues to do so.

I have just discovered an original 1934 copy of Elizabeth Dilling's "The Red Network" in a collection of my mother's old books. After thumbing thru it I can tell you this. She was a Joseph McCarthy prototype finding "Reds" hiding in almost every conceivable location. Gandhi was a commie.Albert Einstein is described as "sitting on his self-erected scientific throne, with the Reds " pointing out with pride that the greatest most un-understandable scientist in the world is one of their own number." Jane Addams, of Hull House fame, is beloved but...she gives consistent aid to the Red movement, disguises it, and reigns as queen on both sides of the fence.Of course the ACLU is Red. Liberated women are Socialists devoid of the ability to remain monogamous.Methodists, Baptists and Catholics are implicated. Atheists, are, of course, godless deviates. I saw all this in about 10 minutes. If Glenn Beck is promoting this stuff, well....maybe it's time for Glenn to put away the chalkboards and find another gig.

How many people realize that Hitler actually came to power by de-emphasizing antisemitism, attacking communists and socialists, whom he equated with the communists, and taking advantage of popular disappointment with the leadership of the Weimar Republic which was having difficulty dealing with Germany's extended economic woes that had been exacerbated by the worldwide depression that ensued after the 1928 market crash? Once installed as Chancellor, his grasp on power was cemented through intimidation by armed right-wing political militias that were deputized and given quasi-official status, supposedly for assisting the police in maintaining order. The effort was abetted by the German love of strong autocratic leadership under Bismarck and the Kaisers, lack of democratic tradition preceding Weimar, and the desire of many people to "take our country back" as a reaction to the difficulties of the Weimar Republic. These facts and some of the similarities to contemporary rhetoric worry me.

The failings of Germany between the wars aside, fortunately the US has a strong tradition of successful democratic government, and one can only hope that this prevails through the current controversies. It would certainly be preferable to see the opposition working to build up and extend our democratic heritage, rather than disparaging and tearing down our government and exalting the mistakes of the past.

Glen Beck is a cancer in the Media. He is infecting the country in a terrible way. He says that he is an entertainer; but all he wants to do is spread hate and destruction. When president Obama took office, Beck was praising the people he chose and the actions he took. He quickly realized that there was no money in that, so he changed his tune and started his hate campaign. When a country is in trouble we need strong leaders to unite us and help the country. Beck does nothing but destroy. Thank him if we all go down with the ship.

Where are the INTELLIGENT voices, who can strengthen our country and drown out Beck and Limbaugh???????? There has got to be some ! If not we are doomed.

How ironic. Israel defines itself as "a Jewish state," of, for, by, Jews only and are working night and day to rid themselves of 4 million Palestinians. Israel has its youth camps that parade around in uniforms and brag about their racial superiority to all Gentiles (according to the Talmud, only Jews have souls; the rest of humanity are "animals.") Goyim is the Hebrew word for Gentiles and it means "animals." So what's so different between what the Nazis did and what Israel has been doing for 60+ years? They teach hatred of the Arabs that is hard to believe, it's so virulent. The Gaza Strip is the worlds biggest prison where a million and a half Palestinians are literally in a concentration camp. West Bank--2.5 million Palestinians surrounded by walls, military gun towers, gates that are closed from 7 pm-7 am. Can't even go from PALESTINIAN town to town 7-7 even if they're dying.

we have three religions that see themselves as the heirs of abraham: islam which descends from ishmael, judaism from isaac, and christianity which teaches that in his willingness to sacrifice isaac, abraham was prefiguring the sacrifice of christ's life to the father. how tragic is it that their followers are so consumed with hatred and vitriol, that each seems to be happiest when contemplating the total destruction of each form of worship. a pox on all your houses!
