The State Bank and Trust Company regrets what happened. The story doesn't say if Keith Sadler regrets it. How many more?

We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.

General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.

Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

variation on a theme from M. Niemoeller:

When they came after the Chicano and put him in jail because he did not have papers,I did not protest because I am of a color that does not need to carry papers. When they came after the Muslim Arab-American and waived his right of habeas corpus till he could prove he was not a terrorist, I did not object because I do not look anything like a Muslim Arab. When they came among the field workers, and busted heads because there was a rumor of union organizing, I did not worry because I am neither a field worker nor a union organizer. When they battered down the door of the home-squatter who could not pay his mortgage because the bankers had destroyed his job, I looked on congratulating myself that my payments were up to date. When they came for me because I was suspected of contemning them, no one said a word. The Mexican,
the Muslim, the field-worker, and the home-squatter had all been taken away.

In other words, only fools repeat the mistakes of history. But that also has some dire consequences, don't it?

I just wonder how it going to take for a civil to start. Mexicans are known to defend themselves when the need arises and that is why the police is relying on the judicial system to control.

The seeds of hatred have already been sowed, and the whirlwind is about to surface.

God help us all!

i hope the sadlers will ask their bank to produce the note on their house. it could be in china or anywhere after all this financial craziness that's been going on. without that note, they can't legally take your house. i'd also take them to court and have the lawyer show that they weren't loaned money for that house, because 95% of all money is digital and not real at all, so they had no money to loan in the first place. therefore, that loan was a lie and they don't have to pay back what wasn't real in the first place. that's held up in court in other similar instances. we've got crooks running the world now and they caused this mess, not us. they loan you fake money, then they screw up the economy so you can't pay, then they come and steal your real stuff. they're professional criminals. they've been doing this stuff for years. time to stand up to them as mr. sadler and his friends did. bravo!

In the past 10 years I have been checking to make sure of what year and country I'm in, and now this is 2010, America, and not 1930, Germany.

If he made payments for 28 years, he had already paid the bank hundreds of thousands of dollars in interest and they had made their money. They really want our blood.
Yep, we are all becoming good germans, esp. the teabaggers and republicans.

@Marya, I find your overgeneralizat ion and perverted smear-label of "teabagger" incomprehensibl y offensive. Contrary to lying politicians and corp. media, Tea Party folks are not racists or police-state authoritarians. You are right, though, the international banker eugenecists do want the blood of the sheeple...however, please don't be like the govt./corp. controlled media and misrepresent people who are the most nonviolent and constitutionall y correct protestors since the civil rights days.

Perhaps a better way to categorize how to criticize protestors, is by criticizing the racist "La Raza" and the race hustlers Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, Barry Soetoro, etc. It would server everyone better to focus the nazi comparisons on, and ask for our outcry about, what happens at "Border Checkpoints" that are 50 to 100 miles AWAY from the border; like what happened to Pastor Steven Anderson of Phoenix:

Joe, a correction on some of your misstatements.

A survey of teabaggers showed that they were far more racially prejudiced than the American population in general.

They are hardly Constitutionall y correct because they had absolutely no problem with peaceful protesters against the Republicans being arrested and denied access to Bush's events. Moreover they have no problem with the denial of habeus corpus to nonCaucasians who are only accused of terrorism. They have no problem with brown people being arrested and locked up with no access to legal defense solely on the suspicion that they may be undocumented immigrants. They have no problem with the use of warrantless surveillance of people in the US. And you didn't hear boo out of them when Bush called the Constitution "Just a gd piece of paper!" The list goes on.

And when their leaders advocate throwing bricks through windows among even worse violence, it is very difficult to claim that they are nonviolent.

The police, judicial, penal and jury systems in the US are nothing but corporate whores. They are not satisfied with the pay they get from the hard working taxpaying public, they want the protection to do whatever they please including shoving night sticks or broom handles in defenseless black or hispanics knowing full well the judicial system will obsolved them.

Remember, the police unions is the only unionized force acceptable by the judicial system in the USA. It was those national guard members in the police that were sent to take charge of the secret prisons in Iraq and in other part of the world. They are the one who were the torturers, murderers and the preverted ones who committed the atrocities that have been documented so well.

Like the Gestapo, NKVD, CIA, they are immuned to judicial punishment.

It is because of this and corporate greed that our nation has degraded into a cesspool!

Welcome to Facism in the US of A, folks.

Banks that say they are proud that they did not receive bailout money WERE TOO SMALL TO BE OFFERED BAIL OUT MONEY! Look up The State Bank and Trust Company --- they we not even on the list to be given a bail out! Talk about terrible people.

Don't bank with people you don't trust - pay cash. When the bond market fails more falling prices will welcome buyers.

I will make a prediction and wager the farm on it.

I bet everything that I possess that when some future Keith Sadler is faced by a SWAT team, that SWAT team will be exposed to a barrage of semi-automatic and fully automatic gunfire coming from within the residence, and from members of the local community firing from the outside.

I neither advocate for nor believe that such behavior could be a right response. What I am saying is that as the phenomena of forced foreclosures increase, there will be counterviolence and it will become extreme. There are simply too many out there who feel that they have lost everything for reasons that are not their fault and will fight to preserve their homes, even until their dying breath.
