Wrong tactic kids - what I want to know is why this alleged horrible, no good, very bad woman (according to BSCB*) who has been working with Hillary for a very long time is only just now being noticed? BSCB you're falling down on the job so if we get attacked - it's all your fault for setting on this info for so long. Oops, my bad, that would be non-info. Just came from entertaining at one of our local day care programs for seniors with dementia - they'd all make up a much better Congress. And I'm talking about the clients, not the care givers. They at least have a reason for unreasonable actions. *BatShitCrazyBa chmann

The thing I hear from friends that are right wing is fear mongering and name calling thats it. Most are wonderful human beings until the subject of politics gets brought up. Then they are calling names and trash talking, or spewing some Fox News lies. Its maddening that they have nothing, no facts, no proof, just a lot of trumped up Fox News BS talking points, as their reason for voting republican. If they were ever to poke their noses out of the Fox News hole and see there is real things going on, not just the spin and lies they want to hear, they might get beyond their brainwashed state. God help us if the etch-a-sketch gets in the presidency, if we thought Bush was bad, he will look like a boy scout compared to the damage Mitt will do.

SoCalStar, the GOP has a new plan. It's called "Any Port In A Storm". If you've followed the Norquist philosophy, he has told the party that they don't need an idealogue to be president. All legislation for the "next 20 years" will come from Congress, and it's his job to sign it. And knowing Romney, the presidency to him - and his wife I might add - means not what he can do for the nation, but what the prestige of the position can do for the Romnney name, the last feather in his cap. He will do anything the Extreme Right Wing tells him to do, including signing any bills authored by them, no matter how radical. Don't play these guys cheap. That's the plan. If not reined in, Bachmann could cost Romney a lot of independent votes, although she may be garnering more Right Wing votes with her rhetoric. By the way, Bachmann's comments about Huma Abedin caused a crowd of about 500 to pelt Hillary Clinton's car as she was leaving the AMERICAN EMBASSY IN EGYPT last week! Loose lips sink ships. "I hate government" Bachmann and her husband also received federal farm subsidies and Medicaid subsidies for his clinic, where gay people are supposedly cured of their gayness through steady prayer. These two are meant for each other, but for the good of the nation, they ought to keep it in Minnesota.

James Smith. You are so right, for many reasonable Americans are so turned OFF, that they may not vote, and THAT will cost us dearly. As for the rest of the world, seeing Bachman, Louis Gomert and other vocal CRAZIES, will certainly make them think that America is in rapid decline, and unfortunately they would not be wrong. The few reasonable republicans remaining, do not dare go against the T bags, so THEY seem to be in charge now. THAT really SHOULD fire up democrats and independents. for if we don't get out to vote, we will surely lose the country to these crazy, greedy people. WHAT A TRAGEDY IT WOULD BE FOR US AND FOR THE WORLD

It's actually a pretty fair example of thought-less paranoia. D'you really think that in today's paranoid surveillance state, anybody who was even vaguely allied to these fringe elements wouldn't be immediately scooped up and transported to an interrogation site? Blech-mann is actually, as so many readers have pointed out, a product of a fringe element evangelical college herself, and has personally taken on some surveillance tasks around abortion clinics with the results being loudly declaimed and disseminated into the hands of the crazy-murderous elements of the self-alleged "Pro-life" crowd with well-publicized results, including the targeted murder of Doctors. Oh yeah, she is REALLY worthwhile of thought -if you really want a flailing nutcase to be your source of inspiration for thoughtlessly-p rovoked action and prejudicial targeting of the willingly-racis t, deeply ignorant and resentfully disgruntled with their lot introspecive voter.

And I reject your intolerant view of muslims, I have been paying attention, and so I know the truth. You would do well to watch something other than Fox for your news.

After just reading a letter-to-the-e ditor in my local paper bashing President Obama as a communist, socialist, America-hating, Islam-loving death knell for the great old USA, while also touting Fox News as the only trustworthy media, I am reminded again never to underestimate the deep ignorance and rampant racism that is white rural America. These are the people that Michele Bachmann and her fellow right-wingers such as Louie Gohmert, are talking to. They are horrified that a black man is in the White House, especially one such as Obama, who is smarter and more humane than they are. They are affronted by his ability to run circles around them when he speaks, for after all, he's black and supposed to be inferior, don't you know? I joke, but in reality these are the very people who will put Romney in the office of President, and Michele Bachmann speaks their language perfectly.

Unfortunately, the left is hard pressed to understand Bachmann's appeal to her voters and others like her around the country. Our brains do not operate like theirs (not a pun). Christianity is a tangible belief, in other words, it is literal and a "thing", "truth" is tangible, "truth" is the word of God and it belongs to them and them only. They believe that any means whatsoever that furthers God's "truth" is acceptible, no matter if in the heathen world, it is unlawful. She is furthering the fight for Christianity and in this way, her supporters love her and support her and will not shy from her in 2012. It continually astounds me as would a cult. She is their high priestess. Again, not a pun. Very very very serious.

I think more like complying with the American Disabilities Act if mental illness is considered a disability. Frankly, I think she her latest loop on the lunacy ride is to bring attention to her alone. She may also think she is strengthening her Tea Party Congressional Caucus with the attention but I think most of this is rooted in two egomaniacal characteristics : a) she is seething mad to think she was not chosen by her party to lead this country to the gates of hell, and b) she is positioning herself for a new look-over in case Romney loses. That second reason may sound absurd but not if we remember who she is and what she represents. Should Romney lose, she will be in a position to ay "I told you so" and she knows her Republican Party has so derailed itself from rational thinking that it will lurch even farther to the right. It is the new nature of this radical right wing party to "double-down" on a blunder rather than admit a mistake. The consequence of rigid ideology is to assert even more vehemently what is their truth. Hence, compromise, the foundational characteristic of a functioning representative government is seen as surrender. Bachmann and the lunatic fringe enflamed by Limbaugh, Hannity, Palin and Beck will never let their ideological truth be tarnished by association with other stable elements of our political culture. So Bachmann and the ilk fight on, and if it takes our country and the world down, good! After all, paradise is for martyrs.

Here is one of the problems: Ms. Bachmann is a lawyer graduated from one of these phony law schools that are actually terrorist cells turning out domestic terrorists. "In 1979, Bachmann was a member of the first class of the O. W. Coburn School of Law, then a part of Oral Roberts University (ORU)." There is a list of these types of law schools that cater to the Jesus Camp kids and turn out whackos like Bachmann: Liberty, Patrick Henry, Regents, Oral Roberts and The American Center for Law and Justice together with many state law schools like Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Louisiana, Arizona etc.. These schools, and ones like them, should be closed, their graduates identified and removed from the roles of lawyers and judges, and placed on the domestic terrorist list with the FBI. Don Siegelman is a good and decent human being and an effective Democratic governor, yet, he ran afoul of Judge Leura Canary (graduate of Alabama Law) and they took a sitting Democratic governor and put him in jail on phony charges. Not until we get these types of lawyers and judges out of our legal system will we begin to unravel the chaos these people have wrought.

I truly hope and pray........ Romney is a horrible opportunist. He changes opinions more often than we change underwear. I say opinions, for the man has NO VALUES. MS Bachman is a vain religious fanatic. That we may not be able to get rid of for her constituents seem to agree with her. Luckily she is so nasty and shoots her mouth of so often with outrageous statements, that normal people are turned off, and I think she hurts... not just Romney,.... but republicans, period

Could Bachmann cost Romney the Presidency? Of course not. He has never stood a chance. So many Republicans would never consider voting for him because he is so far to the LEFT. Don't think so? Check his voting record.

I think if Romney is left to his own and his cohort's devices he might well self destruct. Bachmann is out there pushing voters into the Dem side a few more good haters like her and there will be no one left to vote Rethug. Maybe Sheriff Joe could appoint Mittens a deputy or maybe Joe could run for veep?
