Introduction

My intellectual (not experiential) type could be described (egotistically) as that of a visionary. I think of the big picture, anticipate and predict patterns, see context clues and finally see similarities in seemingly disparate elements. All of the “facts” presented below have been freely plagiarized from other people’s work. Where I shine is in the order, the emphasis and the conclusions from these borrowed ideas and words.

(1.) Science and the Two Greatest Thinkers

Since our culture is dominated by science, I will begin with the two greatest scientific minds and physicists of the 19th and 20th century, Max Planck and Albert Einstein. Clearly these men were the masters of right-brain theory. But they were not just philosophers or mystics; they required hard-core data and followed the scientific method in their research. All their work was based only on what they could see or measure.

Planck, who was 42 years old when he made his historic quantum announcement, took only a small part in the further development of quantum theory. That work was left mostly to Einstein with his theories of light quanta along with Poincare and Niels Bohr.

In the first of three papers, all written in 1905, Einstein examined the phenomenon discovered by Max Planck, according to which electromagnetic energy seemed to be emitted from radiating objects in discrete quantities. The energy of these quanta was directly proportional to the frequency of the radiation. Later in 1905, Einstein showed how mass and energy are equivalent.

But these two geniuses were also masters of intuition. They have helped guide my thinking about the purpose and meaning of human life, as we know it. Max Planck, while accepting his Nobel Prize said, “As a man who has devoted my whole life to the most clear headed study of the science of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about atoms this much; there is no matter as such. All matter originates and exists by virtue of a force, which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force, the existence of a Conscious and Intelligent Mind. This Mind is the Matrix of all matter.” This emphasis is assumed by me, as I did not see his written speech.

Albert Einstein, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921, wrote, “A human being is part of a whole, called by us the ‘Universe’, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of this consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”

Our aging Newtonian Cartesian materialistic and reductionist paradigm, although very effective at the macro level of reality, also caused the decline of spiritual vision in our time. This paradigm, which was created in the seventeenth century, vigorously challenged the notion that an unseen spiritual plane could exist underlying and pervading the entire physical plane.

Since that time, the entire trend in scientific research has been toward explaining all phenomena, including the human mind, as by-products of matter and physical forces. Everything can and must be understood and reduced to a physical cause. If it isn’t physical - if it can’t be measured, weighed, or seen, whether by telescope, microscope, or cyclotron - it does not exist. For those who view the world exclusively through such a lens, human consciousness is nothing more than a function of the physical brain: when the brain dies, we die. End of argument.

Unfortunately, this limited view of life, death, and the nature of human consciousness continues to dominate the modern landscape for the very simple reason that science's many triumphs over the past 300 hundred years have been nothing short of dazzling. It is difficult to argue with success.

However like Einstein and Planck, I will attempt that argument. As an effective and beneficial belief system needs to be totally open ended and flexible, I also may be completely and utterly wrong.

We are indeed made in God’s image, as our individual Mind is a contracted form of the Absolute. Our Mind, which exists independently from our brain, manifests our body and brain, not the other way around. Our brain is like a television set, a receiver and three-dimensional translator for the transmissions to and from our Mind.

(2.) The Science of Consciousness

“In the Beginning” is the way most creation myths begin; however they are incorrect. In the beginning, there was no beginning. Just like a circle, in our Universe there is no beginning and there is no end, just God, the Absolute, the Immeasurable, etc.

Before the Big Bang, the Unformed (God) or Consciousness was without form, matter, space or time. You might say the Absolute was homogenized. Physicist David Bohm would say the Implicate Order had not yet manifested the explicate order.

Even though without form, the Absolute (or the Void) contained within it the total potential of all possible manifest form. In order to experience this potential through form, the Absolute willed the Big Bang to happen, what might be called the beginning of a “Divine play, a play of Consciousness.” So 13.75 billion years ago, our four-dimensional space-time continuum exploded into existence from a single dimension point, a Zero/Infinite point (or Eternal Infinite Point), see symmetry mathematics or Singularity. All light, given Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity remains forever in the Zero/Infinite point.

Moreover, the light emitted from the Big Bang carried and transmitted all of the information necessary for the continued evolution of the Universe (photons, as we now know, are very capable carriers and transmitters of information).

“As biophysicists have recently discovered, all living systems emit light (biophotons/bio-information) ‘back into’ this infinite point. Thus, these ‘cooled’ life forms (e.g. you and me) continue to emit all of our information (our personalities, our life experiences, etc.) back into the infinite point (our origin). Induced-After-Death-Communications (IADCs) demonstrate that this information (even after one is ‘deceased’) remains accessible to the living--in fact, biophotons are known to exist in the near ultraviolet range of the electromagnetic spectrum, which is at a slightly higher frequency than visible light.”

The Absolute or the Implicate Order or God is all powerful, omniscient, omnipresent and controls our Universe with the following five forces: creation, sustenance, dissolution, control and the bestowal of grace. There is just ONE of us, the Absolute, manifesting the many through form, which is made up of dualities and polarities. The Absolute underlies and pervades the entire Universe (“This Mind is the Matrix of all matter”).

Confirming that all matter is just a manifestation of the ONE Consciousness, a few near death experiencers have reported that they have consciously moved their spirits inside trees and boulders when out of their body. They report resonating with a type of consciousness similar to ours but much slower and with much less depth. This phenomenon is easily explained if we are all ONE Single Process in a higher dimension (God sleeps in the rock, dreams in the plant, stirs in the animal and awakens in man).

From the life review (that NDErs report having), all of us at death (except very young children) will get to experience our whole life over again from five different perspectives at once, “outside” of time. From one of those perspectives, we experience being in the bodies of all the people we ever interacted with and even the bystanders in every event in our life. We experience the physical, emotional and intellectual perspectives of all those people all at once. We will experience all the pain or indifference or laughter or love that occurred in those people due to our actions or words. We are also shown the “ripple” effect of all our actions on others in this regard.

We as spirit not flesh now judge our own actions. We find we are accountable to our Spirit for not only our actions, but also our words and even our thoughts. This Holy Being of Light we will meet, that is often described by experiencers, is present partly to help us get through the horror of actually experiencing the pain and suffering we may have caused others. The Light insures that the life review occurs in an atmosphere of total acceptance, total love and total forgiveness.

Many who have returned from the brink of death describe these communications with this Holy Being of Light as if two minds became one, and then the thoughts occurred in alternating order, just as if they had become ONE Mind. This is again consistent with my hypothesis that at a higher level, despite the appearance of diversity, we are all ONE. All of the near death experiencers who meet this Holy Being of Light feel words alone are not adequate to truly describe this amazing meeting, as it is ineffable.

The miracle of Induced-After Death-Communications further confirms my hypothesis that we are all ONE at the level of spirit and our soul survives the death of our brain and body. At the Eternal Infinite Point, we discover the true nature of our reality. It turns out that our Light Bodies exist eternally in a sea of Consciousness, Potential, Mind or Thought, with all the Platonic (New Testament) values as a given.

Concurrently, mystics of many faiths have reported for centuries that human beings simultaneously exist in the four-dimensional space-time continuum with our physical bodies (manifested by our Light bodies) and in the Eternal Infinite Point (Heaven) with our Light bodies. The only thing that happens when we die is that the waveform of physicality (“Chi”) or in the West the body’s apparent “electrical energy” collapses. “Chi” can only “recharge” itself when we are in a state of Deep Sleep. If we are artificially kept awake for between 21 and 30 days with no Deep Sleep at all, most of us will die. Therefore, human beings while alive have no choice but to simultaneously exist both in our four-dimensional space-time continuum and in the Eternal Infinite Point (timeless, spaceless).

Most of the great physicists of our time, including Stephen Hawking, believe there are more dimensions than our four-dimensional space-time. They theorize that there are possibly as many 10 dimensions or more. These extra dimensions are unseen and not measurable dimensions. The newest research suggests that measurable matter makes up only 46.2% on our Universe. The rest is made up of Dark Matter and Secret Matter, both not measurable.

So the Absolute, the Mystery (God) is stainless, untainted, beyond form, beyond duality, beyond measurement, beyond polarities, beyond attributes, beyond good and evil, yet full of righteousness. Form is comprised of polarities like matter and antimatter, protons and neutrons, light and darkness, good and evil, cause and effect, subject and object. There is no object, which is of a different nature from the Subject (God). Nor can the Subject (God) be seen as if it were an object. In this Universe, the Subjective (God) manifests the objective (form or matter).

Another shorthand way to think about our reality is to propose, like physicist Fred Alan Wolf that we are living in God's “dream.” When individuals dream, it appears that many independent people and environments are interacting in a drama, but they are all just part of the individual’s consciousness. The same could be said of God’s dream. The Absolute creates and manifests the Universe from its Consciousness, its Mind. Even though nothing can happen unless God allows it in this reality, we still have free will. Free will and God's predetermination coexist in this universal mystery as do order and chaos.

I propose then that we are living in God’s “dream” with free will and total accountability for what we do, say and think, mysteriously coexisting with God’s predetermination.

(3.)Physics Meets Philosophy at the Planck Scale

On a human scale, an atom is inconceivably small, but size is relative. On the Planck scale, the smallest that physical theory recognizes, atoms are huge. At this scale, named after Max Planck, the founder of Quantum theory, many physicists see space and time as being grainy, rather than continuous. “But the size of the grains of space compared with an atom would be about the same as the size of atoms compared with the sun. And the size of the grains of time would compare to a hundredth of a trillionth of a second much as that hundredth of a trillionth of a second does to the age of the Universe.”

An ocean of Pure Abstract Probability exists at the Quantum level. It could also be described as the play and display of Potential Information. Pure Abstract Probability at the Quantum level becomes our fixed reality (the explicate order) through interaction with Consciousness (the Implicate Order), either from the Absolute (God) and or human beings. The unseen Implicate Order (God) manifests the explicate order (our Universe).

The farther “down” Max Planck’s Quantum “rabbit hole” we go in terms of size and time, the higher level of energy and power we discover. In other words, as we get closer and closer to “no” time and “no” space, the level of energy we can measure continues to grow exponentially.

Why, because the Absolute (God) exists outside of time and space. In other words, the closer we get to the Eternal Infinite Point (God, Heaven) which is spaceless and timeless, the higher level of energy and power we discover. There are no accidents in our Universe at the level of spirit, as nothing can happen unless the Absolute allows it to happen.

When human beings discovered this unbounded Quantum energy field, did they proclaim the miracle of this field as it describes our pure potential as human beings? No, they used this theory to invent the atom bomb to kill hundreds of thousands of people in an instant (egoic thinking). So this theory also explains why atomic explosions are 1,000,000 times more powerful than chemical explosions. The true import of this knowledge is that the Universe is indeed all ONE Process at the Quantum level with total UNITY (no space and no time).

(4.) A Human Incarnation is a Gift, Enlightenment is Our Goal and Meditation is Our Practice

Some near death “experiencers” say that according to the Holy Being of Light they “see”, that we can know God while we are still breathing, or in other words, human beings have the unique capacity to merge their individual soul with aspects of the Universal Soul while still alive. Some NDErs also report being “told” that there are billions and billions of different self-conscious life forms in this Universe. The vast majority of these self-conscious beings can only merge their spirits with God after death. Therefore, a human incarnation of any kind is an incredible and almost unique gift in this vast Universe of ours.

This state of merging with the Absolute can be called enlightenment or liberation or “at-one-ment.” The basic purpose of human life when we are fully developed physically is to survive, to continue the evolution of the species through procreation, to love one another and God unconditionally while pursuing enlightenment. At age 13 or 14, we are certainly aware of the power of our arising sexual energy. What we are less aware of, and are not educated about by our modern religions and materialistic culture, is that another energy is forming along with our sexual energy.

The presence of this spiritual energy is signaled by an emerging drive to get “high,” a self-induced alteration of our consciousness. This need to get “high” is a fourth natural drive like the basic drives of thirst, hunger and sex, a universal and inescapable fact of life.

Unfortunately, without the knowledge of the purpose for this drive, we often turn to drugs and alcohol as well as other addictive behaviors (attachment) instead. It is no surprise then that successful therapy for chemical addiction usually involves surrendering to a higher power. This spiritual energy, coiled at the base of the spine, is called “Kundalini” in Sanskrit. Spiritual energy and sexual energy are metaphorically opposite sides of the same coin. However, while sexual energy is accessible to almost all, spiritual energy lies dormant until it is awakened.
Without this awakening, true happiness and liberation are impossible. The fire of one who is enlightened can awaken Kundalini, like one candle lights another. A near death experience also awakens one’s Kundalini. Christians would call this experience being “Born Again”.

There is no actual separate individual here, rather the individual is a just a particular space-time perspective. Identifying with this perspective is the ego (I am separate from all other form). To manage this limited ego, we need to practice relaxing into stillness using meditation while always living in the present moment with mindfulness. Meditation techniques either consist of finding and steadying the space between our thoughts or maintaining a continuous awareness of our inhalation and exhalation. If we get lost in thoughts about the future or the past (as we all do), just begin the practice again and again and again. As Jesus said, “Seek first the Kingdom of God…neither shall they say it is here nor there, for behold the Kingdom of God is within”

(5.) Loving-Kindness and the Power of Intention

The real meaning of being human comes from the practice of loving-kindness while simultaneously manifesting the power of intention. Loving-kindness (Metta) is a meditation and life style practice taught by the Buddha to develop the mental habit of selfless or altruistic love. Loving-kindness brings about positive attitudinal changes as it systematically develops the quality of loving-acceptance.

This practice always begins with developing a loving acceptance of yourself, then eventually moves on to the art of sending love to all beings on the planet, even your enemies. The power of intention describes a field of energy (Spirit, Soul, Life Force or Witness Consciousness) that allows us to mentally and consciously learn to support the only possible outcomes in our universe, the outcomes behind God’s Will.

To see how a person’s mind works is to see the nature of his or her future. It’s rather obvious what a person is creating for himself simply by examining how he thinks. Each one of our thoughts (another aspect of matter) radiates a vibratory energy, which is magnetic in nature. It attracts to itself everything similar to itself. Depending on a person’s mental intensity or degree of concentration, the thought will be vitalized by the Life Force. One who learns to properly direct and utilize the Life Force to energize selected thoughts and to withdraw energy from undesirable thoughts, can actually create and dispel certain future circumstances.

But it is magical thinking (i.e. “The Secret”) to believe you can manifest anything you want with creative visualization unless that manifestation is already an integral part of God’s Will.

The Universe is set up so that we are not given what we ask for; rather we are given what we believe in. For the religious among us, Jesus said in Mark 11:24 NIV: “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have (already) received it, and it will be yours.”

Gandhi wrote: “Carefully watch your thoughts for they become your words. Manage and watch your words for they become your actions. Consider and judge your actions for they become your habits. Acknowledge and watch your habits for they become your values. Understand and embrace your values for they become your destiny.”

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote: “The moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decisions, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now.”

Professor Emeritus William A. Tiller, of Stanford University’s Department of Materials Science, spent 34 years in academia after 9 years as an advisory physicist with the Westinghouse Research Laboratories. In his conventional science field, he has published over 250 scientific papers, 3 books and several patents. His new research is scientific proof of the power of thought and the power of focused awareness, both of which operate at the Quantum level and the physical level.

In parallel, for the past 30 years, he has been avocationally pursuing serious experimental and theoretical study of the field of psychoenergetics, which he thinks will become a very important part of “tomorrow’s” physics.

William Tiller’s latest rigorous scientific research is on consciousness using control groups, replication studies, Faraday cages and measured at different distances. A Faraday cage is a metallic enclosure that prevents the entry or escape of an electromagnetic (EM) field.

Using only the mental intention of four excellent meditators in Arizona with results at multiple locations around the world, the force of that conscious intention was able to speed up the gestation of fruit flies by 25% and change the pH factor of water by one full pH unit, both up and down. Despite the fact that most scientists will tell you there is absolutely no proof for telepathy and or telekinesis, there are now hundreds of studies proving consistently and scientifically over the past three decades that the human “mind” can influence random number generators.

(6.) The Path to God, the Near Death Experience and Religion

God communicates with human beings non-verbally through the external signposts of meaningful coincidence (synchronicities) and the internal power of our intuitive mind. Carl Jung coined the word synchronicity after his own near death experience. Other human beings, who may have had near death experiences, while also having an immeasurable impact on human history are Plato, Pythagoras, Mozart, Abraham Lincoln, and Albert Einstein. Moses saw a burning bush, which might be how a person in that time period would describe the Holy Being of Light.

I believe that there are many pathways to God. The underlying (probably very naïve) goal of my work is the ultimate unification of all world religions. What is clear after examining religion and mysticism in depth is that all the great masters, saints, holy men, holy women and sons of God have pointed down the same path. There are some differences depending on the historical background and the intelligence and needs of their followers, but the central truths are almost identical.

Unfortunately, the followers and devotees of these great men and women have often disagreed. This fossilization of the truth has sometimes resulted in the killing of millions of innocents in the name of this “holy” misinterpretation (the Crusades, the Inquisition, Holy Wars, Witch Trials, Religious Terrorism and 9/11).

I am a mystic Christian. The Christian mystics were persecuted by the early Church and forced to go underground in medieval Europe. Their one remaining detailed text, which was not destroyed by the Catholic Church, is the Nag Hammadi Text discovered in 1947.

Western confusion over the Holy Spirit and the relation of God and Man is well expressed in our confusion over the words Jesus and Christ. “The Christ” is a generic term; it refers to the function of the Holy Spirit, the guide who appears in the flesh. Jesus was one of the specifics of this phenomenon. This Implicate function must have its explicate form. So, again, Jesus wasn’t the Christ, the Christ was Jesus—as he was the Buddha, Moses, etc. By the very structure of reality, the function of the Christ is always here and always coming again. The Christ Jesus was unique, as he was born enlightened (so the Catholics are correct, if Jesus was born enlightened, then his mother Mary must have attained enlightenment too.)

The Christ itself or the Holy Being of Light is the portal that all human souls must pass through at death not just Christians. In John 3:16 Jesus said that “the only way to the father is through me”. He means this literally, as all souls must go through the Holy Being of Light or what I call the "Christ Portal" after death.

Today there is a major schism in the Christian faith (also in Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, etc.). This schism is between using mysticism to become enlightened, or all human beings have the potential to reach the internal state of being that Jesus was born with and Buddha and Moses attained, and literalism where the Bible is the word of God plus historical fact and that making the historical Jesus and Son of God our Savior is the only path to God.

The mystic belief, like mine, is that all religions have originated from a universal spirituality referred to as Unitary Consciousness, or the Ancient Wisdom. “The mystical beliefs of these secret societies were based on the Hermetic maxim ‘as above-so below’ which teaches that the natural world is a material reflection of the spiritual.

It forms the esoteric basis for the Ancient Egyptian Mysteries, Gnosticism, Esoteric Christianity, Judaism’s Cabbala (Kabbalah), the Hermetic tradition, alchemy and societies such as the Templars, Freemasons and Rosicrucians. The goal of all of these philosophies is to lead the individual from material darkness to the spiritual light of understanding.”

(7.) In Conclusion

I now know personally and experientially that suffering and chaos can diminish the human ego (mine was). The human ego, en masse, runs the world at the moment with egoic thinking. The human ego is not a real entity; it is by definition totally disconnected from the human spirit. The more suffering and chaos there is in the world due to ignorance, negative thinking and egoic thinking by human beings, the more human egos that will be crushed in the process.

Destroying ego and thus injecting more pure Consciousness into the world, the human race has an automatic self-correcting mechanism, suffering. As an example, President Lincoln’s 6 year old son died right in the midst of the Civil War. Lincoln was left constantly wondering why his personal pain and the country’s pain from the deaths of hundreds of thousands of American soldiers on both sides was so great. Those thoughts coalesced into his new understanding of the Nature of Reality and the Morale Universe. Lincoln later said, “Out of this suffering must come a new birth of freedom and a new birth of our Republic”. Out of the suffering from our current economic meltdown must come a better world with forgiveness and love trumping money and power.

Even with all the economic chaos, war and tribal hatred on the planet right now, eventually the human race will recover and prosper with the acceptance of the new emerging scientific paradigm: (1.) Consciousness (The Implicate Order) precedes, is more primary than and animates matter, space and time (the explicate order). (2.) One Mind, Too Much Ego Thinking (3.) The Subjective (God) manifests the objective; there is no object, which is of a different nature from the Subject (God), nor can the Subject (God) be seen as if it were an object. (4.) We need to accept the radical understanding of our non-separateness as human beings. (5.) The ghost is not in the machine; the ghost is the machine. (6.) We are living in God’s “dream” with free will and total accountability for what we do, say and think, mysteriously coexisting with God’s predetermination.

We know that we are aware “now” in this very moment. Our inner Awareness is what we know as the Witness Consciousness or our Spirit. This Awareness does not pass through time and does not continue moment to moment. Rather time passes through our Awareness. The outer world changes continually while our inner Awareness remains constant, unchanging. We have a choice: to live in God's eternal now with love, compassion and joy or be trapped in the regrets of the past or the fear of the future.
